Hannah Linder is an American Regency romantic suspense and Christian fiction author. The twenty-one-year-old author is known for her novels set in England during the 19th century. As such, they usually resemble the complications of navigating marriage, the social circles, and the glorious balls of that era. Linder usually adds gothic twists into her novels to suck you into her intriguing Regency settings while adding a dark element. She also writes under the pseudonym Willowy Whisper in different genres including medieval, historical, western, and contemporary. However, all of her Regency novels are published under her real name Hannah Linder.

Linder was just twelve years old when she realized that her passion lay in a career as an author. Back then, she had walked into the family kitchen to find her mother who informed her that her second cousin was working on a novel. She thought that she could do that too, even though her mother was certain that she would write a chapter or two and then give up. Once she was done writing the first chapter, she was hooked and could hardly get off the computer. After Hannah Linder completed and self-published her debut novel at twelve, she continued writing into her teenage years. Once she had ten books written, she began going to conferences to look for presentations and pitch her work. After signing with her agent, she got the interest of traditional publishing houses and got a three-book contract.

Hannah Linder is now living her dream after publishing at least five titles under Barbour Publishing with several still in the pipeline. Her agent is WordServe Literary’s Sarah Freese. She has also self-published at least 10 Christian fiction books and is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers. To get in touch and connect with fellow Christian fiction authors, she founded and moderated a book review group on Goodreads that has more than 1600 members. Outside of her writing, she has a very successful career as a graphic designer which she got into when she began designing her books even though she has an Associates Degree in Graphic Design. She is also the owner of Hannah Linder Designs a cover design business where she designs covers for a few traditional publishers in addition to individual authors.

When she has some free time from her business endeavors, she indulges in several hobbies. She loves to play her instruments including the ukulele, guitar, and piano. Linder also loves to write songs, collect vintage hats, laugh with little kids, and paint scenery. As a Christian, her greatest dream is to live a life that Jesus Christ her savior would be proud of, and to write in a way that would uplift and glorify him.

Hannah Linder published her Gothic-style Regency romance Beneath His Silence her debut novel in 2022. The work introduces Ella Pemberton who may just lose everything in the quest for justice. She is the second daughter of a baron and has always been known for being a little mischievous. She is pretending to be a governess so that she can get inside Wyckhorn Manor to expose the man she believes killed her sister. Lord Sedgewick has lied and killed, but there is no way he is going to let the truth come out as the price would be too great. The only things he is still clinging to are his hatred and his son. But when the charming governess comes into his home, his bitterness begins to dissipate. Could Ella despite her many questions fall prey to him or maybe she is just falling in love with the man who killed her sister? It is a gothic tale with an unexplained murder mystery set on isolated and misty seasides and haunted estates. It is a very unique story that has you hooked on it from the start. Moreover, Ella beginning to fall for her sister’s killer is an interesting twist.

Hannah Linder proves that her first novel was not a fluke with her second novel When Tomorrow Came. This is the story of Heath and Nan Duncan who were abused by their guardian after they were abandoned by their father. They proceed to live on the streets of London only to be separated when a kind gentleman rescues Nan. A few years later, they have begun to heal from their pain and are thriving when their father comes back to reunite them while making some impossible demands on them. He wants Nan to marry a rich man she hates while he expects Heath to become a hardened man just like him, even though he has always been a gentle spirit. Fights ensue, secret love develops, dangers unfold and murder upsets the worlds Nan and Heath have built for themselves. They spent their whole lives waiting for their father to return but now that he is back, what they desire most is to end the nightmare whirlwind before it costs them their lives. It is a well-written story that has echoes of Emily Bronte and Charles Dickens novels.

Garden of the Midnight is a work that Hannah Linder published in 2023. The lead in the novel is William Kensley, an English gentleman who has come to realize that accidents are deliberate rather than a matter of chance. As he realizes how dangerous Rosenleigh Manor is, he seeks the truth from a trusted man, only for his friend to get murdered. His secrets are soon revealed turning into a scandal that leaves him destitute, broke, and all alone. His only anchor is the constant love and friendship of Isabella Gresham. But he should have known that he would lose that too as Isabella finds her life threatened when an acquaintance with some unknown vendetta comes forth. He is willing to risk everything to save Isabella, but he may have to leave her alone to keep her safe. It is a haunting story of heart-aching regrets and rigid social prejudices that harks back to some of the best from the likes of Charles Dickens and the Bronte sisters.
