Ian Loome is a published author who grew up in Buckinghamshire, England in the village of Bierton.

When he was a teen he moved with his family and they began splitting their time between places such as West Africa, Angola, and Canada.

Ian started his career in fiction writing e-books that were published under the pen names L.H. Thompson and Sam Powers, Thompson for his mystery stories and Sam Powers for his stories in the thriller genre.

Ian used to be a journalist in Ontario and Alberta. While he was working he was able to cover various stories that were about topics on everything from politics to foreign correspondence to crime to fun features as well as interviews with celebrities. He has also written several newspaper columns that were nationally syndicated.

He has worked in several positions such as a soccer writer, a political columnist, a legislature reporter, an assignment editor, and a newsroom manager. Ian also writes the Rogue Warrior novels, Amazon best sellers, for Inkubator Books of Dublin. He also pens the Liam Quinn Mystery series, the Joe Brennan series, and the stand alone novel The Café Girl.

Ian is neurodiverse. When he has some free time, he likes playing blues guitar. While on the road, he has toured with a blues band who has charted on the radio. He has a partner named Lori and together they reside in Canada.
