J.J. Miller is a bestselling thriller, suspense, and crime fiction novelist who is best known for his Brad Madison Legal Thriller series and the Cadence Elliott Legal Thriller series. Before he became a novelist, he was a very successful journalist who spent much of his working life penning stories. Nonetheless, while his bank of in-depth profiles, news stories, and magazine features piled up, he still thought of one day becoming a fiction novelist. Miller put in a lot of hard work over about a year to publish his debut. Miller now has at least ten titles to his name spread across several series. He still pinches himself to believe that he is now a professional author.

The Lawyer’s Truth is a novel that J.J. Miller published in 2021. In this work, Cadence Elliott is working on the case of one man, but the outcome could put thousands of lives in jeopardy. The accused is Brandon Colter, a homeless man who is accused of killing a tech entrepreneur and it is up to Cadence to defend him. The man has told her that he is innocent even though he has signed a confession and keeps incriminating himself which makes it so easy for the police. Trying to find alternative suspects, she stumbles upon a wild conspiracy theory which, if false, could result in utter humiliation at court and if true could put thousands of lives at risk.
