J. Pal is a published author. He has written many series, including the Houndsman series, the MAD series, the Trickster’s Tale series, the Tower of Cards series, and the Department of Dungeon Studies series.
He says that he is a former chef. When it comes to writing, it was a hobby for many years. But he had many projects in his stockpile and when the lockdown happened in 2020, J. Pal says that he was forced to dig those projects up and monetize them to make a living.
He describes his literary influences as Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, and Brandon Sanderson. His dream would be to have his stories adapted into an animated series.
The Houndsman is the first book in the Houndsman series of fictional novels by J. Pal. If you have been looking for a unique science fiction and fantasy book that’s going to keep you entertained, check out this book for yourself!
You can grow the fortress up, make the pack larger, and save the realm. Flint Woodson is the main character in this story, and he’s served two entire terms out in the building division of the Iron Army. Now that he’s done that, he’s ready to move on from things.
He’s not totally alone, and has a four legged pal to be by his side. He just wants to get out there, discover some remote settlement, join up, find work as a builder or maybe a guard, and manage to find a woman that he could make his wife.
Flint doesn’t have any interest in looking for a Class his whole life or filling up the nodes that he has left with skill stones. He thinks that when it comes to Wyldbloods such as he is, they’re better off acknowledging that in life they are not the ones destined for anything great.
However, the entire realm has come to be at war. The Fae are tired of the humans coming up and violating the treaties they have agreed to. They have allowed the Wyld armies that they have to go to the fields. Then his own personal plans must be set to the side when he is sent a Life Quest from the Diskverse.
The mission is to go to the Sleeping Fort and reawaken it. He must then protect the village from Lea’s Slumber. He also must give some time to the Champion of Equilibrium to grow. When the quest has the word champion in it, just turning it down and saying no isn’t something that’s a choice.
Flint wants to protect the realm, even if it’s in his own self interest. He would like to have a physical place to settle down someday, but he cannot do that if the kingdom is in ruins. This is a LitRPG style story that has a ton in it to enjoy, so get a copy and go on the journey for yourself!
The Houndsman 2 is the second book in the Houndsman series by J. Pal. If you liked the first book in the series, be sure to check out the exciting sequel!
Flint worked in the building division of the Iron Army for over ten years, and he was hoping that he would have gained enough experience along the way to finish a life quest from it. Unfortunately, that did not prove to be the case.
He was able to restore the Slumbering Fort and his talents were enough to ensure that it awakened. But the idea of protecting it as well as Lea’s Slumber and the reality of doing so are two different things. The threat is there, and it is coming.
Flint knows that the walls are high, but he isn’t sure that they’re going to be enough to make sure that the people, the pack, and the land are all secure. They endure two attacks, which proved to be relatively small. But it’s clear that there are more threats on the way.
Flint is lucky enough to have not only the pack but Woodson Council with him. The Iron Army is coming back, and the Wyld will be on their way too. When that moment occurs where they finally are physically present, all of them are going to have to work together. The only problem is that each of the factions has their own interests to protect and pursue.
There are too many outside threats to their future for Flint to back off now. He’s going to have to figure out what is gong to work and what won’t, and hopefully unite everyone so that they can all face down these threats and not only survive but thrive. Can they work together, or will everything fall apart? Read this book to find out!
