Jane was born in Cambridgeshire and is half Welsh. She hopes that one day she will be able to retire to the mountains of South Wales. This is where she feels closest to her mother, who has passed and had the maiden name of James. This is where Jane has derived her pen name from. Once she is retired in South Wales she has plans to adopt and rescue a lot of animals, all kinds from sheep to donkeys to goats and chickens.

She loves reading as so many authors do. Some of her favorite novels to read include Carrie, Rebecca, The Woman in Black, and Wuthering Heights.
