Corruptor is the first book in the Warp book series by Jason Cordova. If you are the type of reader who will never turn down a bit of sci-fi, this is a great book for you!
They all claimed that The Warp was safe. They said that there was no danger. The claims that they made were wrong.
When it comes to computer technology, The Warp was the greatest advance to come out of the field since the microchip was invented. This was a virtual reality gaming system that was insanely advanced, so much so that the person playing inside was not just inside of the game but actually was the game.
Hidden inside The Warp was a game that was the most cunning out of all them, the boss, the king, the one that was rumored to be unbeatable. It was called Crisis.
When it comes to The Warp, it was perfect and flawless. But then something went wrong. Tori Adams was the victim of this error, trapped in the game with her group of friends. They cannot log off and they cannot get their minds out of the game. They’re stuck there until further notice. It’s worst case scenario.
It turns out that a virus had been uploaded into all of their brains. They have a time bomb in their minds that could go off at any second. Tori immediately starts problem solving the situation and trying to find a way out of it. They don’t have any options being brought to them, so now she has to do the thing that had not been done before and it was said that could not be done. She has to beat Crisis.
If the group can pull this off, they’ll be out of the game and back into freedom. They have only their skills at computers and whatever the game decides to give them. They’ll have to take on terrible odds, take on demons, and do whatever it takes to survive.
The group also has an enemy right behind them and are doing their best to manage their stress and tensions. They are going to have to trust each other if they want to get through of this. They have no reason to suspect that one among them may be a traitor.
Do they stand a shot at getting out? Or are Tori and friends about to discover that when it comes to putting their trust into technology, they have absolutely made the wrong call? Read this fascinating first book in the science fiction series to find out!
Devastator is the second book in The Warp series by Jason Cordova. If you loved stories like Tron or Ready Player One, then be sure to check this science fiction tale out for yourself!
Everyone who made The Warp said that it was safe for people to use. That was generally true, until it wasn’t.
Tori Adams found that out for herself. After what went down a year ago, Tori never had any desire ever again to return to The Warp. She decided to unplug and try her chances out in the real world. She attended college and enjoyed it along with the challenges that came with it.
Tori didn’t really have any desire to go back into the world of virtual reality ever again. She thought that it was something that was better left to the past. Things moved on, life moved on, and it was something that was left to the back of her mind.
However, just because she forgot about it doesn’t mean that The Warp is out of commission. Changes have been made to the game and the experience is different, new and improved. It comes along with a new login realm called The Nexus, which keeps game players from being stuck in the game for too long.
The alpha testing went well, but open beta testing started for the Nexus and then it turned on and stayed on without warning. The team was not able to investigate it from the outside and so they come up with a novel idea that Tori should have seen coming from a mile away.
The group asked Tori if she would go back into the game to find out what exactly was causing the Nexus to stay online. She herself thinks that it is just a glitch in the system, and WarpSoft seemed to agree.
However, Tori is starting to think about the situation a little more in depth now. She’s also starting to wonder whether there might be something more risky behind it. When it comes to all of this, there’s just one way to find out what is really going on. She’s going to have to go into the game and find out for herself.
Tori’s hopeful that she can solve the problem, but what if she’s wrong? Is she risking far too much by deciding to go into the game again? Is she going to fall victim to the phrase that those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it? Read this captivating science fiction book from Jason Cordova to find out!
