Fiance by Fate

In the first book in Anyone but Me series, Shirk introduces the readers to Sabrina Cassidy. She believes in fate, and so when her boyfriend breaks her engagement, she hopes that they will soon be reunited by fate. But it seems that she’s out of luck and fate isn’t on her side either when Jack Brenner comes back knocking into her life and work as well. Frustrating, handsome and cocky, Jack offers Sabrina an offer that she can’t resist especially when it means getting her the life she has always dreamed of.

But even though she is one of the town’s most qualified bachelors, Jack reputation seems to be backfiring on him. He has to persuade his father as well as his company board that he is ready to marry if he needs a promotion. But persuading Sabrina to be his “fiancé” turns out to be the simplest part but what he didn’t know was their strong attraction and how their fake relationship thing would escalate into something much bigger than they expected. Sabrina is still hung up on her ex-boyfriend, and Jack is never ready to settle down, but fate has something much bigger in store for them.

Fiance by Fate is a fun and sweet romance novel that will have you crying and laughing with Sabrina as she finally discovers the true meaning of love and learns to fight for the things that matter in her life. On the other hand, Jack is a true hero who’ll charm you will break and charm your heart with his tales and have you cheering him to win Sabrina’s heart as soon as possible. The chemistry between the two in their “fake” relationship is explosive, and their strong attraction brings on some unexpected confusions and feelings for both of them. The humor and wit in their exchanges will have you grinning from the first page to the last.

This series debut novel compares to Jody Holford’s novel More Than Friends, a novel featuring a man who invites his best friend Gabby to play his fake girlfriend role when his family decides to surprise him with a visit one Christmas holiday. It’s a sweet romance novel and a series debut worth reading
.
Wedding Date for Hire

The second book in Anyone But You series features Maddie McCarthy, a laughing stock of her family surviving the curse of never being lucky in love. It’s during her moments of frustrations that she announces to her family that she has a boyfriend when she comes across an advert of Match Made Easy. But her hopes of getting boyfriends are soon sent in a spiral as she finds out that her Match Made Date is with Trent Montgomery.

Back in her high school years, Trent was a self-centered jock, he was arrogant and one of Maddie’s tormentors. He is now a transformed man and agreeing to do his cousin who owns the show a favor, Trent agrees in the last minutes to be Maddie’s date. Trent’s cousin dearly needs Maddie’s business and all the possible connections she could offer. But with no time to select another date option, Maddie has to go along with her high school tormentor for a date.

Maddie truly loves her younger sister Louise such that she will do anything to make her the main focus and make her wedding day special. Maddie suffers from abandonment issues because her father left the family and she thinks she is cursed when it comes to love because her relationships only last for a few days. But Trent is a good man, and he isn’t the man he was back in high school. His only family is his dog and his cousin. He’s been hurt by love before, and so he isn’t the type of man to believe in happily ever after’s.

Wedding Date for Hire is a sweet romantic story perfect for both teenager and adults who have a belief that love conquers all and believe in happily ever after. Maddie and Trent are the people you’d love to connect to, and all the supporting characters in the story are likable.

The main characters as said above are people you’d love to get to know, “hang out” with them and wish they were your friends or had such friends in real life. Trent is a gem, a good-hearted man who loves his cousin and though he comes from a wealthy family, he lacked parental love. His parents only saw him as an accessory until the day he succeeds in Football. But when his football career was put to an end by several life-threatening hits, he became disposable. Trent, however, did recover his determination and strength by putting his focus on the health field. Our heroine is a little lost, she just has broken up with her boyfriend, and she’s at an age where everyone is pointing fingers at her to get to a serious relationship.

Wedding Date for Hire is a steadily paced story with plenty of buckets of charm. There are sweet affection, quick banter and learning lessons for everyone concerned. It’s a story of friendship, trust, love and second changer and while it’s a part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.
