Jessa Hastings is an Australian author.

The author is a native of Australia who has since traded her homeland in to live in the United States. She is married and lives with her family in Sherman Oaks, California. Her family includes not only her spouse but her two children and a cat and a dog (that she says she ‘semi-regrets’ getting, something she feels guilty about saying but also feels confident won’t hurt his feelings since he will never read it).

Jessa says that while she is currently exasperated by the medical systems in the United States, she is also very interested in Stranger Things theories and is aspiring to be a water connoisseur. She tans very well, still finds herself missing Australian breakfasts, and recommends the Coconut Cake to others from Erewhon.

Main character Magnolia Parks appears to have it all. She is affluent and beautiful, completely involved with herself and mildly neurotic, on top of being an in demand London socialite. BJ Ballentine is a bad boy who is handsome and one of the most photographed men in Britain in addition to being the lover who ended up breaking her heart.

They appear just too good on paper, but that doesn’t stop anyone from thinking that the pair are meant to be. Everyone thinks that. The two have a romance that is written in the stars, and they’re kept in an odd type of love that ends up looking like a situation where they hurt each other for much of the time.
