Jessie Garcia is an American published author.

She knew that she wanted to grow up to be a reporter or a writer ever since she was eight years old. She grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and then went on to attend Boston University, making her way to television journalism in the process.

She has spent over 25 years on the air working as a sportscaster. She then became the sideline reporter for the Green Bay Packers and a variety of NFL coach’s shows. She then transitioned into television management and now oversees a lot of journalists in the newsroom as the News Director at the CBS affiliate in Milwaukee.

She has written nonfiction books that have won Midwest Book Awards. Her documentary Leaps and Bounds: The Men Who Changed Track and Field had been featured in many different film festivals. She has also taught journalism at four different universities. Jessie has explored nonfiction and recently turned to fiction, as she has always been pulled to mysteries and thrillers.

Jessie has two adult sons. She is married and lives in Milwaukee along with her husband and their dog and cat. She says that the cat appeared in their bushes one day and their dog was at the Humane Society, where it won their hearts over.
