Jim Bernheimer is an American published author.

He is married and resides in Chesapeake, Virginia with his wife Kim and their daughters Laura and Marissa.

During the day, he works as a Systems Administrator on a government contractor. Jim also runs his own information technology consulting firm, EJB Networking.

He has long been blessed with an overactive imagination. Jim has also been a fan of science fiction and fantasy for a long time. Seeking to put his imagination to use, he has started to write his own original works in the hopes that he can make his mark on the literary world.

Bernheimer’s literary influences include writers such as Edgar Allen Poe, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert Heinlein, and C.T. Westcot.

Mike Ross is the main character in this story. He is a Ferryman and helps people who have ghost problems– or ghosts who have people problems. The funny thing is no one helps him out with his problems, and he has a lot of them.

These include Civil War ghosts who are bent on killing him, as well as Skinwalkers who want his body, and a vindictive spirit that is linked both to his destiny and his bloodline.

As it turns out, the dead still have a good deal of influence over the world, and they do not want to give it up. Mike is in way over his head, but is too stubborn to quit. Can this ferryman accomplish his goal, or will he find out that he is really outmatched? Read this novel to find out!
