Karly Lane lives on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW in Australia. A certified small town girl, she’s most happy in a small town where everybody knows who your grandparents were.

She writes women’s fiction, everything from family sagas to romantic suspense and life in rural Australia. She has romantic suspense books which are published by Eternal Press and The Wild Rose Press under the pen name Karlene Blakemore-Mowle.

A mom of four and wife, working part time as a pathology collector during the day, she manages to squeeze her writing in however and whenever she is able to. She is a proud member of the RWA Australia.

“North Star” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2011. Kate Thurston, after her bitter divorce, along with her battle scarred kids flee the city to the vast yet run down property of North Star.

Bequeathed to her by her grandpa, it had been in the family for generations, however it doesn’t take her long before she realizes that she is going to need every single ounce of determination to restore this homestead to its old glory and fulfill her dreams of turning it into a bush retreat.

While she begins making headway with the restoration and falls for some local bloke, she feels life is finally going right for her. But then her ex-husband comes to town and sets off a series of events sure to change her life forever.

Kate and John have such a fantastic dynamic with one another, and from the start there is some raw sexual tension between them. Karly’s characters are always down to earth, realistic, and relatable, and she delivers an interesting, entertaining, and fun read with “North Star”. Kate’s such a strong and independent woman struggling with some everyday problems, and this one has a good mix of romance, drama, and mystery to it.

“Morgan’s Law” is the second stand alone novel and was released in 2012. When Sarah Murphy comes back to Australia she is in desperate need of a break from her high-powered London life. And even though she’s mystified by her grandma’s dying wish that her ashes be scattered underneath the ‘wishing tree’ on the banks of the Negallan River, she sets off to do exactly that.

Sarah, as she searches for the wishing tree, stays in the small township of Negallan. It is there that she has some time to unwind and relax finally, there that she finds herself being drawn to a handsome local farmer, and there that she learns her inquiries about her grandma are causing a bit of disquiet within the powerful local Morgan family.
