Karly Lane
Karly Lane lives on the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW in Australia. A certified small town girl, she’s most happy in a small town where everybody knows who your grandparents were.

She writes women’s fiction, everything from family sagas to romantic suspense and life in rural Australia. She has romantic suspense books which are published by Eternal Press and The Wild Rose Press under the pen name Karlene Blakemore-Mowle.

A mom of four and wife, working part time as a pathology collector during the day, she manages to squeeze her writing in however and whenever she is able to. She is a proud member of the RWA Australia.

“North Star” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2011. Kate Thurston, after her bitter divorce, along with her battle scarred kids flee the city to the vast yet run down property of North Star.

Bequeathed to her by her grandpa, it had been in the family for generations, however it doesn’t take her long before she realizes that she is going to need every single ounce of determination to restore this homestead to its old glory and fulfill her dreams of turning it into a bush retreat.

While she begins making headway with the restoration and falls for some local bloke, she feels life is finally going right for her. But then her ex-husband comes to town and sets off a series of events sure to change her life forever.

Kate and John have such a fantastic dynamic with one another, and from the start there is some raw sexual tension between them. Karly’s characters are always down to earth, realistic, and relatable, and she delivers an interesting, entertaining, and fun read with “North Star”. Kate’s such a strong and independent woman struggling with some everyday problems, and this one has a good mix of romance, drama, and mystery to it.

“Morgan’s Law” is the second stand alone novel and was released in 2012. When Sarah Murphy comes back to Australia she is in desperate need of a break from her high-powered London life. And even though she’s mystified by her grandma’s dying wish that her ashes be scattered underneath the ‘wishing tree’ on the banks of the Negallan River, she sets off to do exactly that.

Sarah, as she searches for the wishing tree, stays in the small township of Negallan. It is there that she has some time to unwind and relax finally, there that she finds herself being drawn to a handsome local farmer, and there that she learns her inquiries about her grandma are causing a bit of disquiet within the powerful local Morgan family.

Are the Morgans going to keep Sarah from learning the truth about her grandma? And should she risk her glittering career in the UK for a much simpler existence in the country, and the possibility for true love?

A compelling journey into one young woman’s dreams and hopes.

“Bridie’s Choice” is the third stand alone novel and was released in 2012. Alternative destinies and the power of love. Shaun Broderick and Bridie Farrell come from opposite sides of the tracks. Bridie’s family are perennial strugglers whilst the Brodericks are the wealthy owners of Jinjulu, which is one of the most prestigious properties in the district. She’s always longed to leave the tiny town that she grew up in, however family responsibilities have kept her anchored there.

At the same time, Shaun’s dream about taking over the management of Jinjulu gets dashed by his dictatorial dad, who attempts ruling Shaun’slife both off and on the farm. When he falls in love with Bridie, the Brodericks get horrified and make it obvious that they do not approve of ‘that Farrell girl’. Faced with the largest choice of her life, she has to decide whether to turn her back on her dreams or her heart.

“The Wrong Callahan” is the first novel in the “Callahans of Stringybark Creek” series and was released in 2018. It had been two long years since Lincoln Callahan found himself in front of the gates to Stringybark Creek. He was in the army at that time, a lifetime ago. Linc had always been the unsettled Callahan, looking to find danger, the one that could not wait to leave the family farm. This time he was back for his little sister Hadley’s wedding. From far and wide, the Callahan relatives were heading toward Stringybark Creek.

Griffin, Linc’s younger brother, was the steady son, the one that stayed at home, the one that did all of the right things. Now, he’s the one that had feelings for Cash Sullivan, city girl. For Cash, the offer to manage her best friend’s luxury beauty spa tucked away in the country had come just at the right time. She knew that she needed to make some smarter decisions in her life, beginning with the guys that she dated, and the enforced break in the country seemed like the right way to consider more of her options.

When Linc sets his eyes on her at some family dinner, their swift attraction leaves him floored. However Cash is his brother’s girlfriend, what could he possibly have been thinking? Whil Cash, Linc, and Griff form this uneasy triangle, each of them have personal demons to face before they can open their hearts to each other.

“Reign of Secrets” is the first novel in the “Guardians of the Crossing” series and was released in 2020. A woman without a memory and a cottage with secrets.

A man is going to search to the ends of the Earth for her, and another one is going to stop at nothing to possess her. After waking up in the hospital without a memory, the previous three months have felt like the start of a whole new life for Lucy. However why do strange dreams continue haunting her nights?

Burk is a Royal Guard, sent off to find Lucy and take her back to her dad. Tracking her down was the easy part, but convincing her that she is the missing Princess Syeira, is another matter entirely.
