Kat Mizera is an American bestselling author of new adult romance, romantic suspense, and romance fiction novels.

While she now makes her home in suburban Atlanta, she was born and brought up in South Florida. She loves to travel a lot and her favorite vacation spots are Greece and Las Vegas the former probably because her mother is Greek.
Earlier on, she went to college where she graduated with a communications degree with a minor in business writing. After graduating from college, she went on to work as a freelance journalist and legal assistant for many years.

Early in her career, she got into sports coverage, particularly hockey in addition to reporting on the music business.

Similar to many of her contemporaries, Kat Mizera does not remember a time when she was not writing. She still has tons of boxes of handwritten material from the days when personal computers were not a thing.

She first considered herself a writer when she sold an article to a magazine when she was just 18 for $10. She has said that she got the inspiration to pen her first complete romance manuscript from the first album by Bon Jovi that came out in 1984.
As such, it was a heartbreaking and angsty work that featured Jonas as the hero and rock star who was dating Bianca.

While she was very proud of it at that time, she now admits that it was a very bad story, even though it gave her a little bit of confidence in her writing abilities.

However, she never thought she could make a career out of fiction writing and hence focused on her journalism career. It was not until 2015 when she had some downtime after she had surgery that she decided to go for it.
Mizera published “Dominic” the first of the “Las Vegas Sidewinders” series of novels in 2016 and has never looked back since.

While there is nothing she loves more than writing, she has said that if she was not a writer, she would probably be a movie star.

While she is not sure if she is talented or pretty enough, she has always loved acting and has at one time or another taken acting classes.

Nonetheless, she has always been so busy working as a journalist while living in Los Angeles, that she just never had the time to grab any opportunities when they were presented.
She has now been married to Kevin her wonderful husband for more than two decades and together they have two kids Max and Nick.

Kat and her family are all huge fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially the Avengers movies. Kat is also a huge fan of scrapbooking even though she hardly finds any time for it now given that she is a full-time author who needs to churn out books.
