Katherine Ramsland is an American published author and professor.

She says that ever since she was three years old, she has loved books. The library was the highlight of her childhood and she relates that she has been ‘fortunate’ to have the ability to find joy in what others have written and to also give this to her readers sometimes.

Katherine follows her own muse, and it ends up taking her on some interesting adventures. She started her writing career with a biography of Anne Rice titled Prism of the Night. She would move on to writing a bestseller, The Vampire Companion, and ever since then has published several dozen books as well as over 2,500 reviews, articles, and short stories.

In addition to this, Katherine has also worn the hat of executive producer when it comes to projects such as Murder House Flip and BTK: Confession of a Serial Killer. She has taken on a wide variety of darker subjects, involving serial killers, vampires and ghosts, but usually sticks to the fields of crime and forensics.

Katherine also holds graduate degrees in a variety of fields, such as clinical psychology, forensic psychology, criminal justice, philosophy, and creative writing. She teaches criminal justice and forensic psychology at DeSales University.

The background that she had in forensic studies also put her in a good position to help former FBI profiler John Douglas with his book The Cases That Haunt Us. It also helped her to co-write the book The Unknown Darkness with former FBI profiler Gregg McCrary. She also wrote Spree Killers, The Real Life of a Forensic Scientist, and A Voice for the Dead with authors Mark Safarik, Henry C. Lee, and James Starrs, respectively.

She speaks on an international basis about topics such as forensic science, forensic psychology, and serial murder. Katherine has also appeared on different documentaries and has been on television and radio programs such as 20/20, The Today Show, NPR, 48 Hours, Coast to Coast, Dr. Oz, Larry King Live, Montel Williams, and E! True Hollywood. She has written her first ever fictional series with the release of her books The Nut Cracker Investigations, which feature a female forensic psychologist who also manages a PI agency.

A young boy goes missing under strange circumstances, and when that happens, it’s time to assemble. Now Annie has to set out to rescue her daughter. She does so by relying on some quirky allies, coded clues, and the strange method of remote viewing, hoping that she can not only recover her daughter but hurt and cripple the criminal network.

Of the people who belong to her associates is Jackson Raines, an attorney and a youth advocate whose brother was able to take the network’s secret records before he was murdered. With a hurricane on the way, Plattman is after Annie and her team as they race to try and get this valuable cache before it can be found and destroyed. Who will win out in the end? Annie Hunter is a forensic psychologist who also happens to run her own PI agency. She ends up putting up her Nut Crackers team against Tommy Ray Bruder. He is the same guy who ended up snatching up her best friend Hailey when Annie was fourteen years old.

Annie then promised to go and find her. Bruder ended up getting caught due to another crime that he had committed, but he absolutely refused to talk about what ended up happening to Hailey. On top of that, he has been writing coded poems from prison in an attempt to try and sway podcasters so that he can get released.

The upside of this is that Annie gets all new clues when it comes to being able to find Hailey. At the same time, she is going to have to work quickly if she wants to get things done before Bruder is released as a free man. Little does she know that what she is doing is also going to provoke the former partner of Bruder, a man who is dangerous and has yet to unleash the full havoc he can wreak.
