Kathy L. Wheeler is a published author who has won awards for her writing. She writes contemporary and historical romance stories that are full of suspense as well as twists.

When it comes to things that she enjoys, you can count the NBA, the NFL, and musical theater among them. She has seen Phantom of the Opera, Something Rotten, Les Miserables, and Wicked multiple times. She also likes to travel, and has gone to Mexico, Europe, Grand Cayman, and all over the United States. Kathy also likes reading, writing, and karaoke.

Kathy also helps other authors out when it comes to critiquing, formatting, and coming up with covers for their books so that they can achieve their publishing dreams. She likes to write contemporary and historical stories where the heroines are able to save themselves and the heroes respect their courage. She also likes writing stories that have plenty of suspense and humor.

Kathy has recently moved from Oklahoma to the Pacific Northwest. Joining her is her lawyer husband who is musically talented as well as their dog Angel and their snooty cat Carly.

Kathy has received a lot of recognition and awards for her work. She served as the Ethics Director for Regency Fiction Writers from 2022-2024. During this same period of time, Kathy was also the Pen2Paper Guide and Mentor for the RWA for their accelerated writing course on writing romance and also served as a Paper2Polished Guide/Mentor.

She has also received the Best Regency 2023 N N Light Book Award for her book Captivated by His Countess. She received the 1st Place Cupid Awards 2022 for The Kerse Who Saved Christmas. A Dagger Cuts Deep won the 1st Place Heart Awards 2021. She also received the Finalist International Digital Awards 2019 for Mail Order Bride: The Breakaway. She received 1st Place in the International Digital Awards 2015 for The Mapmaker’s Wife. She also received 34d Place in the International Digital Awards 2013 for Quotable.
