Kristen Ethridge is an author of sweet escape romance stories full of heart, hope, and happily ever after. She is a best-selling inspirational author and was nominated for the American Golden Heart Award by the Romance Writers of America.

Kristen was hit by the writing bug around the time when she could hold a pencil in hand. She would continue to write all through her childhood and in her young adult years, but it would take a while before she get published.

She currently makes her home in Texas where you can usually find her enjoying a crispy taco, while she writes on her patio.

She is also a certified aromatherapist and from time to time will have the scents from an essential oil diffuser released into the air when she is in the room.

While she has become a very successful author, she still works a day job as a corporate communications strategist.

Ethridge began writing from a very young age as she wrote her first poem when he was in the first grade.

She continued with his writing endeavors during her childhood and teenage years as she read the usual teenage novel such as the “Hardy Boys,” “Nancy Drew,” novels, and later on, the classics and Harlequin romances.

As a seventeen-year-old, she decided that she was more interested in pursuing a career as an author of category romance novels. Kristen’s father sent her to the University of Houston, where he undertook a class on fiction writing.

Her class instructor was Pat Kay whose course materials opened up his world to the likes of Silhouette and Harlequin. It was while he was in college that the Love Inspired line was launched and she set a goal of one day writing for the line.

After graduating from the fiction writing class, she wrote three manuscripts though he lost one during Hurricane Ike. In addition, she lost most of what he had studied and written about publishing prior to 1998.

She published “Saving Gracie” her debut novel in 2013 and kicked on from there. Ethridge now has more than twenty titles to her name spread across several series and single-standing titles.

Kristen Ethridge has always been a huge reader that likes reading contemporary and historical romance. Still, she can read almost anything including blogs, and food magazines in addition to the classics.

As for the biggest inspiration for her stories, she has said that it comes from her everyday experiences. In fact, “Gorilla Dating,” which she published in 2021 was inspired by the observations her friends made about a terrible date she went to.

Outside of her writing endeavors, Kristen is a champion of the WNBA and worked in Public Relations and marketing for the Houston Comets after graduating from college.

Kristen loves to make new friends, which is perhaps why she loves traveling a lot. She also loves to give exclusive previews of her upcoming novels to subscribers of her newsletter and on social media such as Facebook.

Shelter from the Storm by Kristen Ethridge introduces Becca Collins who is the founder of the Animal Shelter at Port Provident. She is dedicated to helping the furry residents of Port provident lead better lives.

When she is called upon to help a special Labrador retriever, Becca does not hesitate even if it means riding out a hurricane.
But she does not have the supplies she needs to take care of an aging dog with specific needs but knows that Dr. Ross Reeder a local veterinarian who is her greatest opposition may be able to.

There is a storm coming and she has no choice but head to her competitor’s doorstep throwing a wrench into his plans for evacuating himself and his faithful former Army canine.

Becca and Ross are used to disagreeing with each other but now they acknowledge that they will need to put their differences aside if they are to survive the wrath of one of the biggest hurricanes of the year.

They soon find that they have a lot in common and embark on rebuilding the Texas beach town that they call home.

Soon enough, Becca learns secrets about her past which threaten to change everything in her life. As she struggles with lies, faith, and love, will she still depend on the love and shelter that Ross provides for her or will the storm rob her of everything?

Kristen Ethelridge’s novel “In the Doctor’s Unexpected Family,” we are back in Port Provident, Texas. The residents continue to find strength in community and friendship after the devastation of Hurricane Hope.

The lead is Dr. Pete Shipley who is driven to save lives and he has no qualms about moving to a remote corner of the world if he is called upon to serve.
Angela Ruiz is a single parent that is having the fight of her life trying to save her hometown following a huge Hurricane.

The two team up and establish a Christian-based community called “The Grace Space.” This is the place where residents can get basic medical care, household goods, and food while the small town of Port Provident goes through the rebuilding stage.

But then Pete is called up to an international medical mission and Angela is afraid that he will leave “The Grace Space” and Port Provident.
But maybe she had so much influence on him that he will stay behind for the love he is getting from his new family and friends and ultimately achive his dream of changing the world.

“His Texas Princess” by Kristen Ethelridge is the story of Princess Anneliese de Cotriano her Royal Highness, who is trying to make a way for herself in San Petro.

She strongly believes that she has more to offer than being the spare wheel to the crown prince. While she wants to live an ordinary life, the paparazzi are all over her life, especially ever since she broke off her engagement.

Given that Rosada the capital city of San Petro is a sister city to Port Provident, she decides to head to Texas, when she learns that it had been devastated by a hurricane.

On the other hand is Matt McGregor who has seen and experienced all manner of disasters that she has become desensitized.

Teaming up with “Helping Hands Homes,” he came back to Port Provident following the hurricane and sets a target of renovating at least 100 homes before the end of the year.

When he learns that the San Petran princess is coming to help, he is not too pleased. The last thing he needs is a prissy princess distracting the volunteers. But she may just surprise him.
