When Sophie Doyle lands a new job that brings her to a posh New England boarding school, she is taken off guard when she discovers that her roommates are all men. This includes one who definitely plays by his own rules– is he going to be trouble?

Sophie has gotten an amazing new job as the head athletic trainer for her baseball team, the Red Sox. She has a great boyfriend who is very handsome and also happens to have access to the best cannoli in Boston. Then she is thrown for a loop entirely when all three of them disappear from her life in quick succession.

The Sox lose the Series too and with everything falling apart for her, she has no choice but to apply for the trainer position at a boarding school in New Hampshire that is focused on the arts. The only room available is a closet in an apartment with three guys. This includes Jonas Voss and his two roommates. Jonas is an orchestra teacher who also happens to be very attractive.

Sophie understands that taking a bunch of high school kids who aren’t really familiar with sports is going to be tough. They’re more familiar with a musical play than a sports play like a home run. She was not anticipating at all that they would actually be talented and have their own problems. Just because they’re in high school doesn’t mean that they don’t have their own worries.

Sophie has her own problems to contend with. Even though she feels an attraction to Jonas, he also appears to be a really grumpy person that doesn’t even want her to come close to him and definitely does not want her close to his piano, even though he never seems to play it.

Sophie believes that she can win Jonas over and assist with the kids that she is getting more close to than ever. Even though she has a relationship with Jonas that is tough, it’s getting better and she can see that he is starting to thaw on her. When things start getting more serious, they are eventually going to have to figure out where they stand with each other. Can they pursue true love or will Sophie find out that this was just a fling? Read this book from Lindsay Hubscher to find out!

Heart Marks the Spot is a 2025 novel by Libby Hubscher. If you love a good romantic book that is light and fun, this is probably the book for you. When a treasure hunter and the adventure novelist who broke her heart after an expedition get together for the summer to look for lost riches, could it be the chance to start again or a recipe for disaster?

Stella Moore is a treasure hunter and she is the type of person that thinks that you can have it all. You can have wealth, you can have love, and you can have a career that is flourishing. Despite her ambitions to have all of these things, deep down she has a sneaking suspicion that she is never going to be that lucky.

Each and every summer she and her friends from childhood make their way to look for a hidden treasure. Stella would love to have a relationship but at this point in her life even managing her bills is a challenge– managing a relationship seems like a distant dream. But when she runs into novelist Huck Sullivan while on expedition in Iceland, meeting the hunky book writer has her thinking that maybe her luck has changed.

Huck has been doing his best to keep his spirits up, but is aware that he hasn’t been able to put a single word down following the abysmal sales of his last book. Meeting up with Stella and her crew and going on an adventure appears to be the ideal distraction from all of his problems. When they find hidden treasure, it seems like the perfect inspiration for a new book.

Not only did they find treasure, but Huck and Stella are noticing that they have an incredible connection. This gives way to a night that they will never forget on the beach with the black sand all around them. Stella is hopeful, but then Huck vanishes without offering so much as a goodbye. Stella tells herself that she is going to put all of the heartache behind her and move on.

Then a year goes by and she sees him everywhere– every bookstore is featuring a cut-out of Huck next to his bestseller. Stella decides to take her mind off of it all with another summer treasure hunt and pushes herself into mapping the path of a shipwreck off of Key West. She never suspected that Huck might appear– looking for a second chance in addition to new material for a sequel.

Can Stella and Huck give the feelings that they have a real chance? Is there a reason why Huck left? Read Heart Marks the Spot by Libby Hubscher to find out!
