Lily Graison
Lily Graison lives in North Carolina, just a stone’s throw away from the Blue Ridge Mountains and only a few hours from the Outer Banks.
“A Touch of Heaven”, her debut novel, won her a Reviewers Choice Award in 2005.
When Lily’s not writing, she can be found at her sewing machine creating 1800s period dresses or at a nearby store feeding her obsession for all things resembling office supplies.
Lily writes through writer’s block by reading a lot. Nothing inspires her quite like a good book does so she devours about ten or twenty in a row and that typically does the trick.
“The Calling” is the first novel in the “Night Breeds” series and was released in 2011. One woman comes face to face with the monsters and battles to survive their call, in a world where the supernatural is not supposed to exist.
Rayna Ford, an investigative reporter, gets sent to the tiny community of Wolf’s Creek to write this expose on a town allegedly over run with werewolves. Assuming the inhabitants to be under some mass delusion, she quickly learns that all isn’t like it appears. Their plans involve more than just a newspaper article and her life starts hanging in the balance while their motive for luring her to them becomes revealed.
Garrett Kincaid knows a thing or two about werewolves. Since he is one. After leaving his pack behind, he has spent the last twelve years pretending that he’s something that he isn’t. His closely guarded secret threatens to destroy him when he meets Rayna Ford, the woman that his wolf has claimed as his own. He learns that the pack has lured her to them in order to get to him, he races to Wolf’s Creek in order to protect her from the very thing that he fears the most. Himself.
The power struggle within the pack becomes clear once Garrett gets back to his old home and learns about the pack’s plans for Rayna. The beast that lurks underneath his skin is torn between protecting the woman that he wants to call mate and maintaining the balance within the pack on neutral ground. When picking a side doesn’t matter anymore, he does what he has to in order to save his mate. Even if that means making one of the toughest choices of his whole life.
When the stakes are high, and lives are hanging in the balance, can you ignore life as you know it to answer The Calling?
Lily Graison adds some interesting twists to werewolf lore even as she sticks to the main wolfish traits. This is a very exciting story, with the action beginning right on the first page and doesn’t let up until the last page. Her plotting is well crafted and Lily builds the suspense until you just can’t take anymore and cranked it up just a little more.
“The Lawman” is the first novel in the “Willow Creek” series and was released in 2011. On the run from her former lover, jilted by a no-show husband. And now being mistaken for a whore in the Diamond Back Saloon.
Abigail Thornton does not believe things can get any worse. That is until a single slap to one man’s face sets off a barroom brawl which lands her in the very last place that she ever expected to be.
Morgan Avery, Town Marshal, wants nothing more than to wash off the trail-dust and sleep for a whole week, preferably with a willing and soft woman by his side. But instead, he gets Abigail Thornton, all hundred pounds of her thrust at him just seconds before a fist connects with his face. Breaking up the fight takes a lot more effort than he would like to admit and when the last guy falls he finds her still standing and not even looking the tiniest bit contrite.
Tossing her in the town jail for a night would salve his wounded pride and then he’ll allow her to go. That was the plan anyway. When the morning comes he finds himself strangely reluctant to do just that. Miss Thornton is hiding something and he plans on finding out what, even if he must bed her to do so. However is one night in bed going to be enough?
“A Soft Kiss In Winter” is the first novel in the “Silver Falls” series and was released in 2017. Running away from home to marry the man Victoria Stanford believed to be the love of her life should’ve been the happy ending she was expecting it to be, however things rarely work out as one plans. Her husband dies suddenly and leaves her stranded out in the middle of nowhere, scared and alone, she thinks she is saved when she sees these three guys headed her way.
Relief turns into fear when she realizes that they were not the sort of guys that a single woman should trust. When they chase her up the side of a mountain and overtake her, and she does the one and only thing she can. She screams and hopes that they’ll kill her quick.
Gideon Hart has spent the previous six years roaming the mountain after tragedy changed his forever. And since then, he has never encountered another living soul besides his brother, until now. The scream that he hears echoing through the trees brings back some memories that he has been attempting to just forget. When he finds this woman being attacked, he does what he must in order to ensure her safety.
Getting her back to town should really be his sole concern, however the journey across the mountain with Victoria causes the entire world to shift and for feelings that he has denied himself for far too long to surface. He does not deserve to be loved. With a past like his, nobody would love him once they learned what he had done. Getting her to Silver Falls is the only way to save both of them however while the nights grow longer and winter settles over the mountain, a soft kiss might change both of their lives.
