Liza North is a Scottish-based writer of psychological thrillers such as Obsessed and The Weekend Guests.

She has appeared at different crime and literary festivals. She was longlisted for the Crime Writers’ Association John Creasey ILP New Blood Dagger in 2024.

Liza is also an academic and former journalist. She attended Oxford University where she graduated with a BA and graduated from University College London with a PhD in philosophy.

She has written for the Guardian and the Financial Times. She is a reluctant runner, an insatiable reader, and she loves fancy gin. Liza North is married and resides in Edinburgh with her husband and their two daughters.

The Weekend Guests is the second novel from Liza North. It’s a compulsive psychological thriller that is about a group of old friends from university whose seaside reunion will end in murder and betrayal. And it seemed like the perfect weekend to start out.
