Lynette Easons home town is beautiful Greenville, SC- the largest city in the state, and located halfway between Atlanta Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina. Lynette is a woman of the christian faith, and knew even as a child that she truly wanted for her life to reflect her deep seated love for Jesus Christ. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Business Degree that, much to the chagrin of her parents, she only used for a short time. After changing her mind, she moved to beautiful Spartanburg, South Carolina to attend the local Converse College, earning herself a master’s degree in Education. It was there that she finally met the man she was destined to marry- and funnily enough, he was literally the boy right next door. He also has a deep seated love of christ, is of the christian faith, and leads worship, speaks publicly for the faith, and is a trusted consultant of ministries all over America. They have two lovely children.
Lynettes books have won their place on the CBA and ECPA bestseller lists and have also won several distinguished awards. One such book is entitled When the smoke Clears . The book has earned itself a five star review, even with hundreds of readers on several platforms including Amazon and Goodreads. It tells the story of Alexia Allen, who works with the Smokejumpers, fighting fires. She s strong, tough, but safety conscious and in particular, very careful about the equipment she uses in her job. That s why it s such a shock when she is nearly killed in a fire due to equipment failure. Even her employers are sure something is going on, and so she is told to take some time away while investigations are made. Faced with the harsh reality of her situation, she decides to head up to her mothers house to recuperate and, while she s there, to go to her high school reunion. Unfortunately, trouble follows her and not more than 12 hours of arriving, she s somehow involved with a murder and arson. On top of it all, being home means she has to face and deal with certain things in her family history, and to decide if her secret she s held close to her heart for the past decade should finally be exposed..
Some of Lynette s most well known and loved works come from the Women of Justice series. The first book of the series, and according to her readers, arguably the best, is called Too Close To Home and centers around Samantha Cash, an FBI agent and their go to secret weapon. Her methods are thought to be invisible, and her reputation for tenacity doesn t hurt, either. She s sent to help when Teens begin to disappear in a small southern town, only to turn up dead hours later. The head detective on the case, Connor Wolfe has his hands full not only with the case, but with trying to keep his own headstrong, stubborn daughter safe with a killer on the loose. The string of unsolved murders has the local community demanding answers, but Connor and Cash are running out of ideas, suspects, and most importantly, time. The killer decides to make things personal, and issues an ultimatum. Connor and Cash have to race against the clock to save the next victim.
Another widely loved book of Lynette s is from her Family Reunion series, entitled Hide and Seek. In this story, Erica James has spent the last few year of her life looking for her kidnapped daughter. She works as a skip tracer, helping others, and hoping that somewhere in the pile of cases she will find something that will help her track down her own lost one. Suddenly, she has a new suspect for the search- Max Powell s missing sister. Max himself, a private investigator, has found evidence that connects the missing girls and he goes to Erica for help. Together, they search for answers, but the kidnapper will stop at nothing- including and not limited to murder- to keep them from finding the missing girls.
It s undeniable that Lynette has talent, and even those who do not usually enjoy christian fiction enjoy Lynette s work. One reader even says that although she is a proud athiest, she enjoys Lynette s work so much that she allows her daughters to read it as well.
But Lynette doesn t just write on her own. She has participated in a few multi Author series, and penned the 5th book in the Texas Ranger Justice Series called Threat of exposure.
It centers around Gisella Hernandes, a texas ranger, and in fact the only female ranger in her unit, who has been sent to boot hill to figure out the initials that were found on a flash drive. She became a ranger to fight the drug trade, a highly personal battle. She wishes for a marriage and a family, but in the south, there aren t many men who want a woman with a dangerous job- or a woman who is stronger than them. She is teamed up with DEA agent Brock Martin for the case, who quickly learns that she can take care of herself, though he questions the ranger s motivations in sending her into the case. The pair aren t welcome in the small town, and the locals make it very clear with a car explosion, ransacked hotel rooms, near drownings, and continued threats. Combine that with a hotel clerk with mental health issues, terrified watresses, the message is clearly for them to leave the town- immediately. Despite the warnings, they are determined to find out who is bringing drugs into the country- and more importantly, who is willing to murder people just so that they can continue doing so.
Lynette has been influenced by some of her own favorite authors who include Terri Blackstock,Karen Kingsbury, Shirlee McCoy,Dee Henderson Robert Liparulo, Brandilyn Collins, and Deborah Raney. She is a proud member of the Romance Writers of America association, as well as the Faith, hope and love association and the American Christian Fiction Writers association. She is commonly heard to thank god for giving her the ability and commitment to bring these stories to life, and is delighted that they give her the ability not only to bring her readers to the edge of their seats, but also, and, to her most importantly, to the throne of christ.
