M.L Broome is an American Romance contemporary and suspense author. She dreamt of giving life to the characters and stories in her head for a long time.
While growing up, her stories changed as they adapted to fit life as she currently knows it, even though some elements remained. Her stories have smart and sexy heroines filled with heat, angst, heart, and happily ever after.
Brought up in an environment of stories, Broome grew up believing all men should be like Rochester in Jane Eyre by being enigmatic yet calm in their devotion. She believes that when given a chance, one should say yes, and believe in your dreams so one can believe in you, and love is always worth the fight.
You can find her herding cats or nurturing on her farm.
Baby Maker
36-year-old widow Calliope Webster has been mourning her husband, Nigel, for two years. She believed in love until her husband died; all she could feel was numbness. Now she believes in surviving without him, with her life well planned without any man in the picture.
She has been in love once and isn’t willing to risk her heart again by going on that road. Even though her friends don’t understand her, they still support her even when she makes a decision that changes her life.
Calli never thought she would recover from the pain of losing her husband. She’s now willing to start living again and plans on having Nigel’s baby. Her friend recommended her to a fertility specialist, Keegan hoping he would help her realize her dreams.
Dr. Keegan has been nicknamed the Baby Maker for his success in helping many women get pregnant. He gets her tested for the procedure, but things turn different when they see each other outside the office.
Keegan is a playboy and has no plans of getting married or siring children despite his field of specialization. He only dates for fun but soon experiences a full package when he meets Calli; he is ready to give up everything for her.
Russo knows the two have no future considering their varying plans, but she can’t stay away from her. They never saw each other coming and soon started having a connection. Russo wants something complicated with her, but it means he’ll have to break the promise he made to her on the first day they met.
Calli has no plans of having another man in her life, even for the charming Dr. Keegan Russo. But what will happen when her heart can’t ignore him for long? Can one of them give up their dreams for the other, or will they stick to what they’ve always wanted?
Calliope had no idea that instead of the doctor giving her Nigel’s baby, he would restore her heart to life. She starts having feelings for him, something she never thought of after her husband passed away.
Is she ready to get into another relationship? Is the grieving period over to have the strength to fall in love with another man? One that has no plans of having children, commitment, or family?
Both start a light romance as Calliope pauses on having a baby until she can figure out about Keegan. Can he change her mind about having her late husband’s baby? Can his views on children and marriage change?
The chemistry between Keegan and Calliope sizzled even when they wanted different things in life. Calliope wants a family, while the last thing Keegan is a relationship leaving alone a family. The attraction between them is strong enough to ignore.
You’ll find yourself grieving with Calliope after the loss of the love of her life. You will also celebrate with her when Keegan brings her emotions back, which she thought were long dead.
The author has a way of making a perfect combination of passion, angst, and romance to make a wonderful novel. Even though she creates a broken character, she still finds a way back to life after suffering.
It Must Have Been A Mistletoe
Penny and Jackson were planning to get married until he was picked by a rock star on tour and needed a drummer. Jackson discussed it with Penny about the offer, and she gave him the go-ahead since it has always been his dream.
Everything was going on well, but things began changing with time. The frequent calls became less when Penny got a photo of Mya and Jackson. A picture of them kissing broke her heart, and she decided to call it quits.
Penny began to understand why the calls became few and why his fiancé had no more energy for her. When the band had a show ninety minutes from Penny’s hometown, she went to the hotel room to see Jackson.
To confirm her suspicions, he walked in past midnight with Mya. When he recognizes her, she hugs her, but Penny declines it. He knew something was the wrong turn she gave him back the engagement ring.
To Penny’s surprise, Jackson didn’t try fighting or even disagreeing with her instead; he stood there calm as penny’s tears ran down her cheeks. She says goodbye to the relationship and the future they almost had.
Their wedding, which was to happen in less than a month, was canceled. She never mentioned anything about the picture she got.
She takes her things and leaves for a nursing job five hundred miles away. She plans on moving her things out of the lake house they bought with Jackson and having her lawyer talk to Jackson about whether he wants to see or buy her out.
Later penny finds out that Jackson had no idea about the photo that Penny received. However, she didn’t care because it never mattered to her. All she wants right now is wine cookies until the holiday is over.
As much she loved Christmas and its merriment, she chose to camp out at the lake house cabin while nursing her wounded heart and bottle of wine. Everything is working well until her ex, Jackson, decides to show up.
All she wants is to say goodbye to her former relationship with her ex-fiancé, who she let go a year ago. She wants to say goodbye to the future they almost had. Goodbye to the cabin where she was spending the holidays in. She plans to live her dream, the one she was supposed to live with Jackson.
He is the last person she wants to see, but what can she do now that he has shown up? Jackson shows up determined to get a second chance. Should she listen to him or kick him out?
He never got the chance to explain what happened a year ago, thanks to Penny’s friend, who mentioned where she was spending Christmas. Forced into proximity, the two have a chance to clear the misunderstandings and maybe get second chances to fix their relationship.
Can the two work things out for the sake of their relationship, or will they end up going their separate ways? Will Penny work through her pain and find new hopes in a place she thought would be the last piece of her process of letting Jackson go?
