The Purification Ceremony

“……. Ceremony” introduces the readers to Diana Jackman, who at a young age at the side of his great uncle and her father learned to move freely in the Maine wilderness, and learned to sense a world most invisible to most of the men. As a natural tracker from the line of shamans, hunters, and healers- now an environmental software writer, a wife and a mother, betrayals and loss have taught her a lesson to always guard her feelings behind a wall of half silence and truths. Life has taught her many lessons, her family, her happiness, her peace and it has brought her to a picturesque, frozen place of death and magic.

Eight experienced hunters have gathered widely on a vast and isolated estate in British Columbia to hunt down a whitetail deer at the snow-covered confluence of Dream and Sticks rivers. Diana is among them- drawn by the hunt and the power of her father’s people.

However someone else is closely watching the hunters- a crazy and violent force of nature, hiding in the blinding whiteness of the snow, and the hunters themselves have become the hunted.

One by one, they are slaughter like animals, and the killer is fast, persistent and shockingly efficient. For the first time in Diana’s life, she must fight the instinct to flee and to survive she will have to depend on her father’s teaching and her own skills as well before she sets out to hunt the hunter.
