Martha Barwood is a successful published author who specializes in writing Regency romance stories.

She has a passion for sharing her writing with her readers and really enjoys being able to do so! Martha was born in England, and had three sisters, growing up with them and her mother in a country house that was located just a few miles away from Norwich.

She has always had an admiration for the beautiful older dresses that her mother kept safely tucked away and protected since the age of her grandmother. These dresses are what made her fall in love with the history of England as well as what is often considered its most romantic period, the Regency.

Martha has the personal motto that things should be done with passion or not at all. This attitude ended up taking her to the United States, where she studied literature and art history.

Martha has three wonderful dogs that she looks after and in addition to being a writer she is also a confectioner. When she has some free time, she loves to make beautiful cakes that are full of color as well as sweets. She enjoys listening to some soft music and being able to relax courtesy of a nice red wine.
