Mary McHugh is a published author.

She has written over a dozen books and has made several videos on YouTube. The majority of those videos show that she is tap dancing to help promote the books that she has written.

She resides in the United States in New Jersey. She is married to a lawyer who has since retired and has had two daughters, one who passed away. Her living daughter resides off of Mercer Island off of Seattle and she has three sons (three grandchildren for the author) that Mary adores.

She records for the blind and dyslexic in New York on a weekly basis. She has taken hospice training and her last patient asked if she would read poetry to her. One of that patient’s favorites was “The White Cliffs of Dover”, which Mary also loved, and it is about an American woman who is married to a British peer, taking place in the first half of the twentieth century.

Mary studied in Paris when she was younger. She continues to love all things having to do with French to this day and occasionally gets the chance to read in French once more when recording for the blind. She says that she hopes that she can convince a publisher to pay her so that she can live in Paris again and write a book about what it is like to live there, especially as a woman of a certain age, as compared to living there as a younger woman.

Mary is also working on books that deal with teen siblings of people with disabilities, one on hospice care, one on labyrinths, and also a new novel that is all about murder on Cape Cod. She has also been working on a series of children’s books that is called ‘Michael and His Magic Blackberry’, which takes kids to different countries, teaches them phrases phonetically in another language, and informs them about places to see.

She enjoys hearing from other writers and tap dancers and looks forwards to messages from readers and fans.

Chorus Lines, Caviar, and Corpses is the first book in the Happy Hoofers series by Mary McHugh. This is the light and fun debut in the series that has recipes and is a whole lot of fun. If you have the time in your schedule for a read that is not going to drag you down and you like a few new recipes in your life, this book is a great pick for you.

When it comes to murder, there’s no pussy-footing around it. Anyway, it’s also never too late to get out there and have some fun kicking up your heels. This is something that Pat, Janice, Tina, Mary Louise, and Gini have found to be true as members of the group the Happy Hoofers.

The leggy ladies have posted a video of their tap dancing routine online and now find that they have been booked to perform on a Russian river cruise that goes up the Volga from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

When murder becomes a part of all this, the five friends end up discovering that it’s not going to be so easy to tap dance their troubles away. Things are going wrong quickly as a crew member has been killed and another passenger is missing. The Hoofers have a killer on board and so need to watch their step. But with some fancy footwork, these sleuths may end up getting an advantage when it comes to a killer who is looking to get hurt. This book comes with plenty of recipes and travel tips– check it out to find out what happens in the end!

Flamenco, Flan, and Fatalities is the second book in the Happy Hoofers series by Mary McHugh. If you thought that the first book in this series was interesting, be sure to check out this sequel and see what you think of it.

Murder is something that you don’t really need to tap at. The high-kicking Happy Hoofers have gotten a booking and are able to show their flamenco footwork while going on a luxury train ride that goes through northern Spain. When a talk show host is discovered dead and Gini is the primary suspect, the friends do not waste any time trying to step into their detective shoes to protect one of their own kind.

The dancers are going to have to step up their game or they are risking a clever killer bringing down the curtain on one of them for good. Are they going to be able to find a killer before the murderer gets to them first? This book also comes with photo tips and great recipes that readers can enjoy. Read to the end to find out what happens!
