Michael J. Malone is an award winning author and poet from the United Kingdom, who likes to write crime fiction novels and poetry. His wife died in childbirth and now he is left widowed with his young child. Andy used to love his wife very much and therefore, he believes that he will never find true love in his life again. Later, he comes across a woman named Anna. Andy finds her feisty, beautiful, and fun-loving. It appears that she is the perfect for him. One more reason for Andy to like Anna is that she treats his son like her own and loves him very much. The two indulge with each other so much that they decide to get married and settle down. But, on the night of his wedding, something happens that causes Andy end up in hospital. There, he receives a clue about Anna that makes him believe that she is not what she appears to be. However, Andy chooses to ignore it as he seems desperate for a happy future with Anna. This turns out to be a big mistake on his part, as he faces the danger of losing everything, along with his life and his son. The book is a violent and intelligent thriller, and includes elements of dark humor. It tends to disturb and enthrall the readers in equal proportions. The intricate plot, believable characters, and high-pitched dialogue were liked by the critics and readers very much.
