Noah Bond is an accomplished author. It is also a pen name used by the author to keep from being confused with another author. He is also a musician and has written the music and the lyrics to multiple songs on the album Fine as Frog Hair.
Noah first started out not in the world of literature but in the realm of law. He had been practicing in Fort Lauderdale for a large portion of his life, which gave him a front row seat to American culture and how it was evolving. The work that he’s done was first released by his alma mater, the University of Florida Law Review. He majored as an undergraduate at Ohio State in international trade.
He has been married to his wife for years. She has taken the various photos of him that can be seen on websites, articles, and book covers about him. They have visited various archaeological sites from Mexico to Egypt. From time to time, they decide to rent an apartment in a city abroad such as London or Paris.
Noah is now happy to be a writer and thrilled at the responses from readers. He says that their responses have been very gratifying and thanks those that have read his books and have also recommended them to others, as having word of mouth and having his stories passed on is a great way to promote the books (and the only one he is utilizing at this time!).
Bond remarks that he is often asked about his science fiction/fantasy book NOMAD/Y The Moon Base Project. The story is about finding clues that lead to a cover-up and then trying to do something about it while someone is trying to get in the way and stop you. The author says that aspects of the book were true and doing the research was ‘exciting’. While two screenplays have been drafted of the work, it has yet to grace the big screen.
Meanwhile, there’s The Doorstep of Depravity, another book from the author. This is based on his experiences at an attorney and has been compared to John Grisham. A screenplay entitled “A Monster Client” has been written based on this story. He has written as well his first historical novel The Lost Testimony of Bones LeBeau. This is a suspense novel all about the Kennedy assassination, and the author temporarily abandoned it to begin another suspense novel before going back and concluding it.
Bond has also written All The Targets, after being warned not to finish his Bones story that such endeavors had been previously discouraged in the past. He took on this new project and then decided to go back to finish the original story, then discovered that several fictional things he had written into the story had since had opportunity to become fact, such as Palestine declaring unilateral independence.
Noah says that none of his novels have ended as he had expected them to originally. He tried to get this spontaneity out of his characters by writing dialogue as opposed to narrating the story. He also holds back from writing physical descriptions in detail of characters for the same reason.
Noah says that ultimately he writes because he enjoys it. Stories will always take turns along the way and he decides to finish novels sometimes so that he can find out how they end. He also says that ideas for his stories come to him out of the blue unbidden, and then he makes a word processing file for the idea and doesn’t make an outline. He later goes back to the word file and starts to type.
Noah first began writing when he was in high school, poems and short stories, later writing songs and playing guitar. He was also moving on to practice law in Florida, while also taking on gigs such as managing a boutique hotel, was a director of the human society, and has visited various archaeological sites around the world.
