Plum Parrot is the pen name used by MC Gallup to write.
Plum Parrot grew up in the area of southern Arizona. When he was young, he spent a lot of his time wandering around parts of the Sonoran Desert. There he would use his imagination to hunt made up monsters and build some forts.
Plum Parrot continued to use his imagination by going into the field of creative writing. He studied it at the University of Arizona and spent years of his own life trying to teach middle school students to fall in love with literature as well as to come up with their own stories and put them to paper.
Plum Parrot loves to write but when he is not busy doing that you can find him outside taking his Airedale Terrier for a walk, reading a book by one of his favorite authors, or taking some time out to relax and have fun by playing Dungeons & Dragons with his family and friends.
He is the creator and the author of multiple fictional series, including the Falling with Folded Wings series, the Victor of Tucson series, and Cyber Dreams series. If you love a good fantasy story and enjoy escaping into another world, check out one, a few, or all of these series by Plum Parrot!
Falling with Folded Wings is the first book in the Falling with Folded Wings series by Plum Parrot. Good fantasy is here in the form of this debut story in the series, one that will transport you away from the dullness of the everyday and entertain you in the process.
When one man finds that he has been stranded on a planet that is definitely hostile, he discovers that he has become part of a fight to survive that could end up settling the fate of a world. Morgan Hall is an engineer on Pilgrim-9, an arkship that is headed for the Tau Ceti solar system.
He thought that the aspects of his life aboard this ship would mainly focus on working to maintain and repair this ship so that it could look after the five thousand colonists that were tucked away safely on board. Then he is woken up early from a stasis that was supposed to last for 240 years. But the second that he does, he wakes up to chaos.
Morgan has been brought to a planet that is full of danger along with his shipmates. They all must adapt to the situation at hand quickly if they are going to have a chance at surviving. There are tons of threats here and they are not familiar with the territory, and on top of that, here magic appears as real as science. They all just end up coming up with a new existence for all of them to share since they have no choice about where they’ve ended up and must make the most of it.
When they are just starting to feel at home, Morgan finds along with the other people that the planet may already have intelligent life there. This means that they’re going to have to navigate this world and the beings that live there. They’re native, they’re smart, and they also happen to be lethal. It’s a horrible combination.
Will they be able to make it through unscathed, or is this a case where the group is definitely not going to make it through with their original landing numbers? Read the debut in this series to find out!
Falling with Folded Wings 2 is the second book in the Falling with Folded Wings series by Plum Parrot. If you love a good fantasy story or you read the first book in this series already and absolutely loved it, check this book out.
Humans have gone down from their ship onto the planet of Fanwath, and now they must try to make their own fate. All of this takes place in a dangerous realm as this saga goes on.
Morgan Hall was just working as a maintenance tech years ago on a spaceship that was headed for Tau Ceti. He then discovered that he and his shipmates had discovered that they had been moved to Fanwath.
This is a place where the magic is real and there is tons of danger everywhere. There is also a System out there that awards points, levels, and powers that are all based on the individual triumphs that you have made as an individual.
Morgan has now founded a colony that is growing for his people as well as his Ardeni mate Issa’s people. Together they have been able to attract even more lifeforms and tribes, which happens to extend to some of their former foes in the Urghat, as well as various warfare and trade alliances.
Even though their colony serves as an example of enduring freedom, Morgan looks within and is finding that he is desiring more than ever. He wants more skills to employ, more strength to endure, to know more about Fanwath. As a result, he heads out for lands beyond along with Issa looking for adventure as well as advancement.
The Fae have also simultaneously become interested in a human settlement. They’re now working in order to try and get Bronwyn Tallow to come over to their cause. Then Olivia Bennet is also enrolled in Fainhallow Academy so that she can make some progress with her magic skills and develop them some more.
As Bronwyn, Olivia and Morgan find that their abilities are getting stronger, they know that the threats that they’re facing are also getting even stronger. They are now going to find that when it comes to ambition, sometimes it can come at a cost. Sometimes you may have good intentions, but that doesn’t mean that everything is going to automatically work out well as a result.
Will the group be able to take on what’s coming their way? Or are they about to find out that they are going to need more than what they’ve got in order to win? Read the second book in this series to find out!
