About Prince Harry

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex is well-known as a British royal family member, fifth in line to succeed the throne. He was educated at some of the most prestigious schools in Britain, and he served as an officer in the Army Air Corps. Furthermore, he set about the Invictus Games in 2014 and is patron to many other organisations.

Prince Harry has been an ardent advocate for mental health awareness, especially in recent years. In April 2016, he and his brother William, alongside Catherine, Princess of Wales, implementing the campaign for mental health awareness ‘Heads Together’. He is actively involved in the Invictus Games, providing a series of international events for wounded, ill, and injured servicemen and women. Early and Personal Life

Prince Henry of Wales, more commonly known as Prince Harry, was born in 1984 in London, England. The second child of both the Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Princess of Wales, his childhood was spent at both Kensington Palace in London as well as Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. He received his eduation at the nursery school Jane Mynors, Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He was known to be a top tier athlete, taking part in competitive rugby union and polo.

Harry later went on a gap year and spent time working in Australia as a jackaroo on a cattle ranch, along with playing in the ‘Young England versus Young Australia Polo Test Match.’ He also traveled into Lesotho, working with children orphaned, while producing a documentary titled ‘The Forgotten Kingdom.’ In 2016, he began a relationship with American actress Meghan Markle. The couple released an official statement after receiving comments from the press and online. After their engagement in 2017, the couple married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

In May 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their firstborn, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, followed by the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, in 2021 on the 4th of June. The couple later revealed in their 2021 televised interview ‘Oprah with Meghan and Harry,’ that three days before their marriage ceremony, they had privately exchanged vows in their garden, in the presence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Harry is also godfather to around ‘five or six’ children, including the daughters of Jake Warren and Major Nicholas van Cutsem. In 2020, the couple moved to Santa Barbara, California, where they currently reside with their children.

Writing Career

Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, has had a successful career as a writer. Writing a foreword to ‘Hospital by the Hill’ in 2021, he would introduce Chris Connaughton’s book. In 2023, his debut title ‘Spare’ was released by Penguin Random House, fast become a huge bestseller worldwide. In 2019, he wrote an article for African Parks titled ‘I have always loved wild places.’ In August 2020, he wrote an article for Fast Company titled ‘Social media is dividing us. Together, we can redesign it.’

He also co-authored a number of articles and letters. He co-wrote an article with Reinhold Mangundu published in The Washington Post in October 2021. He also co-wrote a statement with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, for the World Health Organization in October 2021. In December 2021, he wrote a letter to Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Ms Winnie Byanyima on World AIDS Day for UNAIDS. He also co-wrote an article with Chris Coons and Hailemariam Desalegn Boshe for HuffPost in December 2022, titled ‘The Future of Conservation Is Taking Shape in Africa.’

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, released his debut autobiography ‘Spare’ on 10 January 2023. The book, published by Penguin Random House, was eagerly anticipated by readers all over the world.
