Sam Baron is a published author. He is known for writing thriller stories that are able to deliver the same entertainment that he enjoys reading himself. He has written books that are stand alone thrillers as well as the Baker & Tate series and the FBI Agent Susan Parker series.
Sam was born in India, where he grew up. He came to the United States and has not looked back since. He is neurodiverse, mixed race, and identifies as nonbinary. He also has some close friends and neighbors who are employed in local and federal law enforcement. As a result, much of the details and the settings that he describes in the Susan Parker books are actually drawn from real life and events that happened.
He resides in southern California and lives in a house that is full of family as well as cats, dogs, books, laughter, and love.
The Therapy Room is the first book in the FBI Agent Susan Parker series by Sam Baron. If you love a good mystery thriller, then you’re not going to want to miss this book that might even have readers staying late up into the night to find out what happens in the end.
In a regular farm kitchen, furniture fills the space. A large table is there, and in one of its chairs lies the body of Doctor Magnusson, utterly drained of life. Beneath his feet and the dust-covered wooden floorboards is the basement, as well as twelve therapy rooms. Behind each of the locked doors, the victims have no idea that they are about to be rescued and saved form this depraved situation.
A famous around the world psychiatrist is discovered dead, the body found in an old abandoned ranch house that is on the outside of the Californian Santa Carina Valley. On top of that, a post-it note is there with the mysterious words Susan Parker written on it. To top that off, the cell phone number is also discovered taped to the basement door.
Still trying to grieve the suicide of her husband which took place less than a year previously, FBI agent Susan Parker is taking some time off of work and doing her best to try and build up her life living as a single mom taking care of her daughter Natalie, who is seven years old. When she gets called to attend to the crime scene of Dr. Magnusson, she finds that a chill goes down her spine.
It has been years that Susan has been doing her best to try and hunt down the doctor because they think that he is the serial killer, who simply goes by the name of Splinter. She finds that someone out there is playing a strange and cruel game with her, but the worst part is that they are just getting started.
Susan needs to speak with the twelve victims that they rescued from the locked rooms, but in trying to do so, she discovers that she is dealing with a lot of silence. She’s wondering why they won’t talk. Susan is quickly finding out the further that she gets into this case that it’s one of the tougher cases that she has ever had to take on and solve. She’s also about to find out a cold truth about the real nature of Splinter, a killer who is targeting those seeking therapy.
But she also finds more than that. Susan is about to get to the bottom of a secret when it comes to her spouse’s death, one that ends up tying him to the Splinter case. The safety of her family is in the balance and her career is also on the line. Now she has to find out whether she’s going to be able to protect her daughter and prevent another new killing spree, all before it is too late. Can she do it? Find out in this heart pounding page turner by picking up a copy for yourself!
The Murder Club is the second book in the FBI Agent Susan Parker series by Sam Baron. If you thought that the thrills in the first book were awesome, be sure to keep them going by getting your hands on a copy of the sequel!
Susan walked through the cabin, over the hardwood floor, all the way past the fireplace and the luxury kitchen. There is a view that is overlooking the lake that completely takes her breath away. But then she makes the mistake of stepping outside and finds the lifeless body in this chair. There is a silk scarf that is around his throat, and his eyes are stuck wide open.
FBI Agent Susan Parker thought that she was in for a perfectly delightful afternoon where she would go on go-karts with her daughter. It’s meant to be a day for making memories, but instead she finds that it is rudely interrupted by work. Susan is called to investigate the crime scene of a local man of substantial wealth who has been discovered dead in his home in a classic case of murder.
As Susan goes further into this man’s life, she finds out that he belonged to an exclusive ‘Murder Club’, which was apparently currently obsessed with the Clothesline Killer. The victims of this killer all had something in common in that they were single mothers who were being investigated for potential neglect. They all shared the same hallmark in that they were strangled in bed at night by a masked figure.
The Murder Club aren’t the only ones that have been tracking the moves of this killer. A local pizza delivery girl has also taken an interest in the cases, following along and even putting together her own investigative report.
Even though the deaths had been already dismissed as being isolated crimes, Susan gets to the bottom of a trail of clues that was left from the scrapbook of the girl. They end up leading to this forgotten women and the orphaned children that have been left behind in the wake of this killer.
Things take another turn when a member of this club is discovered dead in his ranch house. Susan is worried now that a serial killer is running through those in his way and is now turning his attention to her. Can she protect herself and her family? Or will the killer win? Read this thriller to find out!
