In Thailand on a remote island, one murder could bring paradise to a crashing halt. Everyone dreams of visiting paradise, but getting there and surviving is another story. Particularly if you are in a certain location.
The Koh Sang Resort is famous, but there are three rules that you should follow for best results while staying there. You should try to leave the past behind you. Cass comes to the party island to try and experience the escape that she craves. She has a lot of secrets that she feels are following her around. Koh Sang seems like the ideal place to take refuge.
You should also try to be careful who you trust as a rule. Some time has passed and Cass has a job working as a dive instructor locally. She teaches along the Permanents, an ex-pat group who think the island is theirs now.
The Permanents are not focusing on the people that they were before they came here. They’ve come for a fresh start and are new people now. They all have something that they are running from in some way, so it only makes sense to leave it all behind and just be in the moment as your new self.
The third and final rule is to run if someone finds out who you really are. This is reinforced when a dive student is discovered dead. What started out as paradise has now turned into something totally different.
The worst part about this situation is that it is not the first time that someone has died in a strange way on the island. There will be more to come. Someone understands who Cass is and they want to make sure at last that justice is served. Will they be able to do it? Read this book from Sara Ochs to find out!
