Main character Dev Anderson is a Formula 1 driver and now his career is hanging by a thread. A social media mishap means that he has to do damage control big time. Now his team is angry and they’ve got sponsors threatening to pull their spots.
Dev knows that things are serious and he is going to need a really good plan to help rehabilitate his image, which has been ripped to shreds by this social media disaster. Dev finally thinks that he’s figured it out while out at a party in Monaco where he runs into a woman that might just be able to help him fix everything.
Immediately he starts putting together a plan, but there’s one small hitch. This girl happens to be the younger sister of his best friend, and she’s definitely off limits. Too bad that Dev can’t forget about that time that they kissed last year. Ever since that happened, the race car driver has not been able to get that moment out of his head.
Willow Williams just graduated from college, and she desperately needs to land a job. She is able to look at any situation and to find the bright side. The only thing is that it is difficult to keep a positive outlook when she’s doing her best and really struggling to land any job. It just seems like no one will hire her.
Dev offers her the chance to solve her problems for the moment, and Willow just has to say yes. It’s a good opportunity to get things moving in her life. She’ll just have to push that crush that she’s been having on him since forever all the way down and move on with things.
Willow and Dev want nothing more than to keep their lives professional. They may have old feelings between them, but that doesn’t mean that they have to act on them. They both know there’s chemistry and there’s a lot at stake.
Dev first got into this to try and save his career. But seeing Willow may have motivated him to carry out this plan more than he realized. Formula 1 is a high stakes world, and this relationship might just be the thing that he needs to get back on top. Can the two resist their attraction to each other, or are they about to find out that this fake romance is exactly where they need to be? Read this book to find out!
Ride With Me is the second book in the Lights Out series by Simone Soltani. If you read the first book in this series and loved it or are just a passionate fan of all things having to do with romance, give this book a try!
A Formula 1 romance meets a marriage of convenience in this story that is sure to give you shivers. Stella Baldwin is the type of girl who has always done her best, but it’s like life is having a cruel laugh at her at her expense.
Stella really thought that rock bottom had come for her when she was left at the altar, but it turns out that rock bottom was just getting started. Then she posted a rant to all of her followers on social media where she was more than a little tipsy. On top of that, she’s going to have to go to Las Vegas to attend her cousin’s bachelorette party in two weeks. Could things get any worse?
Then there’s Thomas Maxwell-Brown, a guy who has so much pressure on him in his life that he just wants to blow it all off and have a good time. His family expects so much at him, and his career driving for Formula 1 is in jeopardy thanks to all of the new talent that they’re hauling in.
Thomas also now has a new reputation for being the most hated guy out there. He knows that it’s time for a break and that he needs to get his head clear. He thinks that Vegas is the perfect place to decompress with a stag party. Why not?
Stella is not the woman that Thomas thought he would run into that night while going out. Likewise, Stella did not think that she would be waking up in Vegas next to him and with a brand new shiny ring on her finger to boot.
They appear to have gotten married, but is the idea of staying married so outlandish? Stella thinks that she might just be able to make this thing work. Thomas might also be game to keep the union going, but do they have real chemistry– enough to make this marriage last? Or are they about to find that sometimes Vegas is not the place that you go to find true love?
Sparks will fly in this romance, but can Thomas and Stella go the distance? Read the second installment of Simone Soltani’s Lights Out series to find out what happens between the two of these lovers!
