Sinister Styx is a published author. She is one of the featured authors of Kaleidoscope Romance, a publishing company that puts out divergent books intended for divergent readers.

The author is known for writing dark paranormal romance and dark urban fantasy romance stories. She is the author of Glass Houses, Corpse Pixie, Limbo, and the book Rebel & Riot. All of them are stand alone novels and can be read on their own and do not have to be read in any particular order.

Sinister looks into the shadows and explores midnight, making friends with the types of things that only reside in nightmares. Some things that readers can expect are stories that have darker themes and are for readers who are eighteen and over, a steam factor, some scenes in the bedroom that are open door but do not have tons of details, different relationship pairings and groupings, stories driven by characters, swears, and violence that occurs on a level from moderate to severe.

Take these things into consideration before reading one of her books! Styx’s romances are very good and engaging but many of her stories come with content warnings so consider that before picking up a book. As mentioned previously, her romances are rated for readers eighteen years of age or older due to their content. For mature readers only!

Glass Houses is an early book to come out from Sinister Styx. If you are someone who really enjoys dark romances, this is a great pick for you. It is a novella and so it is going to be a bit shorter than a full length book. Trigger warning, some people may be sensitive to topics included in this story such as domestic violence or an unhealthy relationship spiral.

This is the story of Ivy and Falcon, a married couple who are together but are starting to realize that their union might be doomed. When Ivy thinks that her husband is cheating on her and accuses him of it, it sets off a spiral of abuse and he eventually starts considering revenge on her for accusing him of that.

The only thing required to get going and send their glass house to pieces is a crack. Just one singular crack that could lead to more that could result in everything ultimately being shattered. Suspicion turns to revenge, which could be the end of their entire relationship or the start of something new.

Intriguing and well-written, this dark paranormal novella packs a punch. It gets the reader’s attention from the start and keeps them going, dunking them into an atmosphere of tension and moodiness. This may be a brief story, but it has enough content and emotion that you will feel like you are reading a much longer book.

Going over classic relationship struggles, this story deals with such feelings as tension, ego, pride, suspicion, anger, and more, weaving it all together into the fabric of a dark romance story that you won’t want to miss. Pick up a copy of this romance from Sinister Styx to find out how it ends!

Corpse Pixie is the second book to come out from Sinister Styx. If you like a good romance, then check this book out.

This is the story of Belladonna and René. Belladonna has done everything that she can to try and make a life for herself. She has set up in the forest and made her own comfortable life with no one around, where the world could not be so cruel and judgmental to her.

Everything is going fine until it isn’t. Suddenly Belladonna’s world is invaded by a number of things that she would rather not have happen to her. This includes death, violence, and humans coming through her sacred bone circle.

She would do everything that she could to release hell on Earth on them if she could, but she is saved from having to do so by René. This man and being near her is the only thing saving these humans from being totally obliterated and Belladonna releasing her wrath upon them completely.

René knows that things are not always what they appear, but things are getting out of control. He sees another crime scene, a circle of bones that has been arranged around a corpse that seems fresh. Hallucinations hit him from out of nowhere.

The most confusing thing to him is the woman who comes to him in the darkness. She seems like she is from another world, and he finds himself drawn to her. Is she an enemy or a friend? Why does this man seem to find himself falling for this woman, even though she exudes danger? What will happen in the end? Read this fascinating book from Sinister Styx to find out!
