The first novel of the Snowy Pine Ridge series is The Christmas Lodge. The lead in the novel is Lacy Preston, the CEO of one of the best investment firms in St. Louis. She was living in the fast lane when her life was upended by a phone call informing her that her grandfather was dead and had left his ancient house in New Hampshire’s Snowy Pine Ridge to her. She does not want to move to the county but she needs to head there to oversee the sale of the house. But as she supervises the renovation of the house, she gets introduced to her neighbors. Among these is Derek Morse the local dog sledder who almost ran her over the first time they met. The man has spent most of his life in the small town and does not bother with city folks who sometimes pass through. However, this particular woman has some of the most beautiful green eyes and the best peals of laughter he ever heard. Lacy is not looking for love but as she works with Derek and delves into the mystery of her family’s past, they come upon some horrific secrets. Slowly but surely, she learns that love can sometimes find you even when you are not searching for it.

But the holiday cheer is dampened by her financial troubles. As William helps her to save the bakery sparks begin to fly, resulting in the magic of mistletoe and a sprinkling of hope. Second Chance Christmas is the third novel of the Snowy Pine Ridge series of novels. It follows the life of ex-Olympic figure skater Shelley Keegan, who has never been comfortable in public ever since she had a bad fall on live TV while skating. Her fall had cost not only her but the US the gold medal and she has never been back on the ice since that time. But her hopes of staying under the radar go up in flames when she meets Matthew Martinez, a single father, and Brandon his son. There is no worse time to be a single parent than the holidays and Matthew is feeling it. While he initially clashed with Shelley whom he met at the local ice rink, he soon realized that she might help Brandon with skating which is his favorite thing. But can Shelley keep the demons of her past in the past and rediscover her passion for skating? Will Matthew open up his heart and maybe allow himself to fall in love with someone new? The only certainty is that there is no better time for second chances than the holiday season.
