Susan Andersen a Seattle native was born in 1950 and raised in a family where she was mainly surrounded by men starting from her father, her two elderly brothers and her grandfather. She admits that the male figures in her life diluted her mother’s influence by diverting her attention to things such as the danger of answering nature’s call late into the night. To her, such experiences hinted her towards what those raised in a less spit-and scratch world go through joking giving an examples that always check before you seat because chances are the seat might be up. Through school she trained as a dental assistant even though she openly never liked working for dentists. She eventually married her high school sweet heart and together they were blessed with a son.

On her 30th birthday, she developed a feeling that she may already be having the life experience to string an entire book to share her experience so far with others. She published her first novel in 1993 and since then has been nominated at least three times for the “Romantic times Magazine reviewer’s Choice award” which she eventually won in the year 1998 for her book titled “Baby I’m yours”. In addition to the above, she has also been named a romantic times career achievement award winner. What’s more, she has also appeared at least three times on the list of the top 10 novels picked as Amazon.com’s editorial Choice in 2001, 2002 and in the year 2003.

Susan also admits that having brothers was completely a mixed bag. For instance, that whenever anyone messed with her, they were always quick offering to beat them up. As much as that was a nice gesture she claims that she felt guys generally loved fighting since her welfare was never of concern instead of it the urge to fight.

ii. B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Psychology back in 1977

ii. The Coordinator, Doctoral Program in Social Psychology, from 2005-2008
iii. The Director of Graduate Studies in Psychology at NYU from 1993-1997 and from 2001-2002
iv. The Director of Clinical Training at NYU in 1997
v. The Associate Professor of Psychology at NYU from 1987-1993
vi. The Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of California in Santa Barbara (UCSB)
In addition to the above, between 19981 – 1987 she was promoted to associate with tenure.

Writing Awards/Honors
Susan has over the years been recognized for her impressive work and contribution. Some of her most notable awards and honor throughout her writing career so far include:
i. The Founding Member of American Psychological Society Award
ii. The American Psychological Association award
iii. The Society for Personality and Social Psychology award
iv. The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Award

Her honors include: –
i. Winning of the distinguished Teaching Medal, for brilliance in teaching As well as general contribution to the intellectual life of the New York University – across different schools From the Faculty of Arts and Science, Medical Schools to Law and business 1996 – 1997.

ii. The Golden Dozen Award for impressive teaching and professional service in the faculty of science and arts at the New York university in 1993

iii. The Harold J. Plous Award for outstanding teaching and professional service among junior faculty, UCSB in1986
iv. Being Licensed as a clinical officer in the State of New York
v. Being Licensed as clinical officer in the State of California

Note: She attributes all of her achievements so far as an author to her early life experiences since they changed how she perceived things.

Susan Andersen has created a name for herself through her writing as an author with specialty in writing contemporary romantic suspense featuring attractive edgy men and strangely women who seem to tame them.
