Trinity Nguyen is a published author.

She attended Franklin & Marshall College and graduated with her degree in economics and government.

Trinity was born in Vietnam, and she grew up in Little Saigon, California. She was able to learn the English language by reading way too many novels for young adults and making sure never to turn off closed captioning.

She’s always carried a grudge against winter and is now lucky to be living in a sunnier place. She calls the city of Los Angeles her home now, but she also makes sure never to miss an opportunity to complain when it comes to the heat.

Trinity resides with her cats and shares her home with succulents fetched from her mother’s garden. She is constantly daydreaming about the next run she is going to take to the grocery store.

She writes about diaspora kids as well as queer girls who have big hearts and big smiles.

Her first fictional novel to come out is A Bánh Mì for Two, which was released in 2024. This is a sweet romance that you will appreciate if you like romances between characters and sweet stories that can transport you away!

This is the story about two foodies who have fallen in love. Vivi encountered Lan while she was studying abroad in Vietnam. The two of them spend the entire semester getting down to the bottom of their families’ histories while also taking the time out to eat all of the street food that Sài Gòn has to offer.

Here in Sài Gòn, Lan is always making the effort to try and be the ideal daughter. She makes efforts to be dependable and is doing everything that she can to try and care for her widowed mother as well as the bánh mì stall that they run together.

She also hides the secret passion that she pursues from her mother, her food blog. She started it up with her father but ever since he passed she has chosen to stop updating it.

Then there’s Vivi Huynh, the Vietnamese American who has never actually been to Vietnam. Her parents are from there, but they clearly have so many haunted memories from their time there that they very rarely choose to speak about their country of origin.

Vivi decides that it is the perfect time to check out her parent’s homeland her freshman year of college. She decides that she’s going to go through her college study abroad program and keep it a secret. In the meantime she hopes to find some answers about why her parents left that place as well to attempt to sample everything that she glimpsed on her favorite food blog, which is titled A Bánh Mì for Two.

Vivi meets Lan in Sài Gòn and they come up with a deal. Lan is going to escort Vivi around the city, assisting her in putting together her mother’s story through the use of old memories and crumbling photographs.

Vivi is going to assist Lan with writing again so that she is able to enter a food blogging contest. As they explore their past and the city, Lan and Vivi slowly start to fall in love.
