Jax Calder is a published author from New Zealand.

Jax loves to write romances. The stories that she pens revolve around light conversations and connections that are often deeply felt by the characters. She enjoys looking into just why it is that two characters are just about the only ones in the world that can make the other really happy as well as showcasing the journey that they go on in order to get their happily ever after story.

Jax currently resides in New Zealand. She recounts that she is a huge sports fan, loves to go hiking, and when it comes to nature documentaries has a slightly unhealthy addiction to them. She identifies as an extrovert but also notes that she spends a lot of time in her own head. Despite this, she says that really loves connecting with readers.

The Unlikely Heir is the first book in the Unlikely Dilemmas series by Jax Calder. If you love a good romance with an influx of politics and duty, this might be the right book for you. Whether it’s your summer read or it’s come into another season, you can’t go wrong with a light and bright story like this that is nothing but fun.

Callum is about to discover what ends up happening when the Prince of Wales accidentally falls for the Prime Minister. He has a pretty dull life, spending his time working in an insurance call center located in California. Now his boring existence has taken a turn that he did not expect.

Thanks to his constantly misbehaving relatives, Callum has found out that he just went from being a nobody to being the new heir to the British throne. Somehow he has achieved royalty status. Now it’s time to go to England, but once he gets there he is about to get a very lukewarm welcome.

He arrives and finds that the country is largely horrified at the prospect of having an American prince. They’re so upset about it that they seem positively ready to revolt against the monarchy. Callum vows to the Queen, his grandmother, that he will do whatever he can in order to help her save the crown.

What he did not anticipate is that royal life would be so difficult. There are endless traditions to discover and follow, friends that appear to be anything but loyal, and even swans with malevolent personalities. So far, Callum feels that the only thing that he has accomplished is to give the tabloids and people on social media more entertainment and fodder.

Callum never expected someone like Oliver Hartwell to come into his life, and he certainly never expected to fall for the Prime Minister. Oliver came from poverty but worked his way up to become one of the most powerful men in the country. Oliver is able to understand Callum’s position and they’re able to chat. Innocent supportive messages end up transforming into chats that go late into the night.

Soon, they both realize that they’ve caught feelings. The only problem is that the royal family has to stay politically neutral all of the time. How will Callum be able to follow through on his promise to help save the monarchy when he is quickly falling hard and fast for the Prime Minister? Can he rescue the crown while also following his heart?

You never know what will happen in this romance that is full of drama and funny moments. Can the Prince of Wales and the Prime Minister truly be together, or are they going to discover that ultimately they put the call of duty in their fields first? Read the debut story in the Unlikely Dilemmas series to find out.

The Unlikely Pair is the second book in the Unlikely Dilemmas series by Jax Calder. If you thought that the love story in the first book was cute, be sure to check out the sequel and follow along with an all new love story between two new characters and see what happens– and whether unlikely sparks fly!

Toby doesn’t know what goes down when you’re stranded in the wilderness with your greatest political enemy, but he might be about to find out. He knew one thing– being on his own with his archenemy is not ideal and it was certainly not something he put on the to-do list for the day. However, that is somehow where he has found himself.

Harry Matheson is Toby’s political rival. He’s always been someone who was hard to stomach. Toby has found him entitled, arrogant, and smarmy. He’s somehow made it through this plane crash with his hair barely even ruffled, which makes his presence all the more infuriating.

Despite being trapped in this less than ideal situation, Toby figures that everything’s fine because the pilot’s gone to go call for help. He figures that a rescue should happen soon and then this nightmare will finally be over. But then a few cold hours go by, and no rescue arrives. Toby starts to get worried. Then he finds out apparently the pilot belongs to an international terrorist group that wants to kidnap the two of them.

Now Harry and Toby are going to have to make a run for it through the wilderness as a team. Even though they’re politically skilled, it doesn’t mean that they have survival skills. They’re not ready for the challenges of staying warm, finding food, and staying away from wildlife while hiding from armed terrorists hunting them down.

It turns out that the only hope of survival that Harry and Toby have is to work with each other and have each other’s backs. They say the line between love and hate is very thin. Are these two about to find out that enemies can become lovers? Will they find love as they do their best to try and survive and find their way back to safety and civilization? Read this tantalizing second book in the Unlikely Dilemmas series by Jax Calder to find out!
