WillPowah is a successful published author.

WillPowah is the pen name used by William Mileham, a LitRPG and GameLit author who hails from North Carolina.

Part of the reason why this author became so interested in stories was that it was a way to pass the time when he was a child, a time when he was very lonely. The loneliness that he experienced in childhood went away eventually but the stories did not. Now story telling has become part of who he is and his life and WillPowah’s stories now take up the majority of his thoughts.

He ended up discovering RPGs along the way and really fell in love with them. From there, it became very easy to him to add spells, quests and equipment to the stories that he was coming up with internally.

He decided to find out whether he would be able to make it as an author by starting his LitRPG series. Now he spends time putting out worlds that include cards, stats, systems, and more, giving his characters a unique place to carry out their adventures as they look for gear, gold, and glory.

Soul Card is the first book in the Soulbound Contractor series by WillPowah. This is a great fantasy series that combines the feeling of a video game along with the themes and atmosphere of such classic fantasy games as Dungeons and Dragons. If you love when fantasy comes together with role playing game tropes, you might really like this book.

The only thing that Dryth ever wanted was to get a fresh start in life, and now he’s doing his best to try and fight to hold onto it and keep it. He’s an outcast and he knows it. His family does not want him and he has always been pushed to the edge by his peers.

He has just one dream in life and thinks about it constantly. Dryth just wants to get his Soul Card and then he will be able to disappear, moving somewhere far from home. Even though he has good intentions, it seems like nothing is going right or according to the plan that he has.

The Soul Card that he has is the Contractor Card. This is a mage class that allows him to make strong contracts with magical beings that allow him to get more power. His version has a soul-forged pact, however, that makes it very dangerous. It stipulates that if one of his bonded creatures were to die, he would end up dying too.

There is some good news in that a winged serpent is out there who is willing to take the risk on. The bad news is that there’s also someone out there working against them who wants them both dead, and one kill is capable of taking them both out for good.

A killer is closing in on them and has no mercy in their soul. Can Dryth fight his way out of this one? Or is he about to find out that he’s somehow bitten off more than he can chew? Find out by reading the action packed first book in the series to follow along with every word!

When it comes to the world Dryth lives in, it’s like there’s always another source of danger to consider. This continues to be true for both Dryth and Sindri, who have miraculously been able to survive a killer who was obsessed with taking both of their lives.

Now the two of them are doing their best to put that behind them and move on from the past onto new and more interesting things. These include finding ruins that have yet to be discovered, new magic, and enjoying eating delicious food.

On the whole, things appear to be looking good. But it only stands to reason that things cannot stay the same, and eventually something must shift. Dryth and Sindri see no issue with taking on a job assisting the local nobility with Ash, their new friend. They thought it would just be a regular favor, but little do they know that the whole thing is about to evolve into something way riskier than they thought it would be.

The terms of the contract they’ve entered into are fairly straight forward. They are to do their best to try and track down a stolen card. The path that they thought they were taking is starting to show that it is full of political implications. More than that, some of the people who are involved in this journey have secrets to protect that they don’t want anyone finding out.

With the tensions in the city of Westhold only growing stronger, Dryth and Sindri find themselves caught up in something much bigger than they initially thought. It turns out that the people in power have no issue with using violence and if there are people standing in their way, this is easily amended.

Those setting terms would have no problem with bodies being left in the streets if it meant that they got their way. Dryth and Sindri now have to deal with not only this tension but more people coming after them personally. It’s more important than ever that they figure out the source of the danger and how to dismantle it before it ultimately takes them out.

With the city descending into chaos, can Dryth and Sindri do what it takes in order to stay alive? Or are they about to find out that, despite their best-laid plans, everything is about to tilt to a place that is ultimately unmanageable?
