Like many authors, A.K. Michaels dreamed of becoming an author as an adult out wanting to become an author. However, she also wanted to be many other things top of which was to become a finance professional.

Sometimes, she believed that she would be a good dog handler and join the Polie Force. However, the police used to have a height requirement and since she was so short, she could never become a police officer.

When she got tired of working in finance and had her fill with living abroad, she came back. But she was suffering from a bad bout of anxiety and OCD and sought professional help.

Her therapist suggested she try to write the many stories that were in her head but she was reluctant. It would take a lot of pushing before she agreed to try and she has shown no signs of slowing down ever since.

A.K first considered herself an author when her daughter gifted her a photo frame with covers of several of her bestselling titles. While it came as quite a shock, it was this that finally convinced her that she was an author.

As for inspiration, A.K. Michaels has said that her biggest influence was the “Famous Five” stories by Enid Blyton. It was these stories that hooked her into storytelling.

She spent much of her childhood in her own imagination and reading all manner of books. Given how much reading she has done and continues to do, she has several favorite authors.

She is a huge fan of the works of Dean Koontz and Stephen King but also loves the works of Eden Elsworth, Monica La Porta, Mandy Dowson, Nav Logan, and Julia Hughes. She also loves many other authors for their storytelling and style.

A.K. Michael’s novel “The Reluctant Alpha” introduces Cam, a wolf shifter that alienated himself from the pack because he did not want to become the next alpha.
He now runs his own empire and makes his own way in the world far away from his father’s pack. Cam has become a billionaire and likes to flaunt his power to his former colleagues including his father.

When he is ultimately called back home, he discovers that his father can no longer be the alpha of the pack. But Cam feels alienated from the pack and lets his brother become the leader instead.

In the meantime, they are informed that another pack led by his uncle has come under attack. His uncle wants his help finding out who could have been responsible for the attack. To resolve the mystery, Cam and his friends head to America.

In the course of his investigations, he meets the sister and punchbag of a rival pack named Chastity. Cams hates how she is being treated by her brother and his friends and vows to rescue her from them.

“The Alpha Decides” by A.K Michaels opens with Cam at a crossroads between whether the should accept Chastity as his mate or become the Alpha of his pack.
At the opening of the story, Chastity is in a comatose state, trapped in her mind and dealing with the horrors inflicted on her by her family.
Feeling the pain of Chastity who may never come out of her induced coma, Cam spends a fortnight in her room not caring about anything all the time. He neglects his role as Alpha and battles his thoughts and emotions.

But just when he starts to believe that his pack is safe, another threat appears on the horizon. It is a much more dangerous threat and nothing like what he had faced before.

It is a threat that threatens to take out not only his pack but also the white She-Wolf Chastity. The emergence of the psychopathic killer is a danger he will have to confront and hope to defeat.

But through all the toil and chaos, love is in the air.

A.K. Michaels’ novel “New Beginnings” opens with Highlanders pouring into the United States. Grant who is Cam’s brother has also come along as he intends to perform his brother’s bonding ritual and then go back home.

But there is some nasty surprise awaiting him that may change the right bond of friendship he has had with his closest friend for years.

When Jinx and Cam stumble upon a lone young Panther shifter in the woods trying to fight off an enraged bear while injured, they shield her and fend off the bear.
It turns out that the panther shifter is all alone with no family or pack and as such Cameron offers him a home.

But Jacob is finally going to get his bonding ritual and feels like his blossoming relationship with Rebecca is finally going somewhere.
However, a new threat emerges and he is caught unawares.
