Addie Woolridge
Addie Woolridge, who was born and raised just outside of Seattle, Washington, is a classically trained opera singer with a music degree from the University of Southern California, and has a master’s degree in public administration from Indiana University. Her well-developed characters are the result of her love for diverse cultures, people, and experiences.

When Addie is not busy singing or writing, she can be found training for her sixth race in the Seven Continents Marathon Challenge, baking, or taking full advantage of Northern California’s signature beverage: wine.

Addie wanted to make sure that the diversity was on the page in “The Checklist”. In terms of the characters’ own personalities, she would just hand out the things she loves to certain people, in some cases. Since she loves pink and glitter, she sat and thought, what would a pink and glittery person act like in real life? And the answer she came up with was Stacy.

Brandt is a character that comes right off of the Seattle streets. That sort of pale, nerdy, and quiet person in fleece is all over that town. In other instances, it was a tad more complicated, and she needed to take into consideration the sort of person that could deliver feedback which Dylan needed in order to grow as a person.

Her family feuds were not quite so epic as the ones described in the book. They have always been, however, the strange family on the block. Dylan’s parents are always forgetting to turn their outside speakers off.

It was something that Addie pulled from her own dad, who would get up at about five in the morning to work out to funk music and forget to turn the surround sound off outside and inside. Which means that everybody in the house was woken up by Bootsy Collins yelling from time to time.

She didn’t want to do some of the physical comedy found in other romantic comedies. Like the protagonist that falls down the stairs, spilling coffee on the love interest since they wanted to wear unwalkable designer shoes for a job they’re unqualified for.

Addie didn’t want that, as Dylan is competent, qualified, and hardworking; she would also train herself how walk in designer shoes, so there would end up being less of these physical mishaps than readers are used to. Dylan’s a planner, so Addie used more absurd situational comedy, which forced Dylan into some unexpected places with rather unpredictable people. All that said, Addie still loves old school romantic comedies.

Addie’s debut novel, called “The Checklist”, was released in the year 2017. Her work is from the woman’s fiction genre.

“The Checklist” is the first novel in the “Checklist” series and was released in the year 2017. An energetic debut novel about professional and personal chaos where Addie introduces a multicultural cast whose exploits redefine the modern romom.

Gorgeous boyfriend? Check. Crushing it at work? Check. Ambitions being derailed by her insecure boss? Ugh, check.

Things were going just a bit too well for Dylan Delacroix. After upstaging her boss on some big account, she is dispatched to the very last place that she ever wanted to be: her hometown of Seattle. Here, she has to use her superstar corporate-consulting skills to curb the worst impulses of the impossibly eccentric tech CEO, and if she doesn’t, well then she is fired.

And the fun does not stop there. She also has to negotiate a ceasefire in the neverending war between her bohemian parents and their straitlaced neighbors. Adding to her chaos is a wilting relationship with her boyfriend and blossoming attraction the smoking hot son of the neighbors.

All of a sudden she has about a million checklists, each one of which is a mile long. As professional and personal pressures mount up on her, she finds that it is increasingly difficult to keep on track. Having always relied on her ability to manage to world all around her, she is going to need a new plan. She might be down, however she is certainly not out.

The amusing hijinks and diverse cast make this an appealing selection for fans of romantic comedies and is sure to get you laughing out loud at certain moments. Once Dylan’s life starts to spiral out of control, you root for her to embrace the chaos and watch as it lands her right where she needs to be, including with the hero. Humor, wit, and some swoon worthy moments combine in this debut novel, with fun characters and an enjoyable storyline.

“The Bounce Back” is the second novel in the “Checklist” series and was released in the year 2021. Even the worst situations have got a silver lining to them.

Neale Delacroix, an aspiring artist, should actually be on the top of the world. She has landed a spot in some exclusive art program that is certain to be her ticket to success, however her best opportunity at stardom goes up in flames. Literally. When Neale’s relationship follows, she finds herself just a stone’s toss from rock bottom.

Her dream deferred and her heart broken, she figures she will work a soul-crushing nine-to-five job until the heat finally dies down. But that is not quite what happens when she meets up with Anthony, a sizzling coworker that has a perfect smile.

Neale has sworn off men and art, having been convinced that she breaks everything she touches. But her creative spirit still beckons, and she cannot get Anthony out of her mind. She gets caught in that familiar space between responsibilities and daydreams, desperate to find a new way forward. As her future hangs in the balance, she has to decide if she truly is down and out, or if she is ready to bounce back.

Readers enjoyed the style of writing and the sense of humor on display, along with the lighthearted storytelling. Even though there’s serious themes, the lightness and positivity of Neale’s personality is still able to shine through. By focusing first on the characters’ growth, Addie makes each connection feel genuine and the romance becomes well deserved for Neale as well as the audience.
