He’s also getting ready to find himself involved in the middle of a case that could have the power to change his life. Whether it’s changing his life to become better or to become worse is the important thing.

Kamil used to be a detective but now has moved to London from Kolkata so that he can start again. Working in an Indian restaurant as a waiter, his life is now much simpler. However, one day he is part of the catering for a fancy party for an influential rich friend of his boss. That is when the peace that he has been so steadily cultivating in his life becomes completely disrupted.

While the event proves to be pulled off without a hitch, things take a turn when the host of the party is discovered dead. Rakesh is found in his own swimming pool, and immediately suspicions start running wild. One of the suspected includes Neha, the newly married wife of Rakesh. Young and beautiful, could she have proved to be the instigator of this horrible crime?

Kamil is summoned by the family to investigate on their behalf. He agrees to look into it, and takes on the daughter of his boss Anjoli as part of his team to do so. They end up working together quite well. As they continue to investigate, the relationship between the two of them grows warmer.

As he continues to work on the case, Kamil is bothered by thoughts of the case that he went through in Kolkata. The very case that took out his career completely, ripping it to shreds. Is it simply post-traumatic shock that he is going through, or is this actually ironic as part of his past is seeking him out to meet him? Can Kamil deal with the resurgence from what he has been through, or will he find out that when it comes to the past, you can never truly run away from it? At the same time, restaurant manager and Kamil’s friend Anjoli is starting to see the amount of homeless deaths in their area go up. The two don’t think the cases are related at first, but as they start to look into things further, they start to change their mind.

Anjoli and Kamil find all types of connections that go from Lahore to London. They must counteract the inaction of the authorities responding to the disappearing homeless and potential racism that goes into killings of Muslims while keenly becoming aware that they’re tracking a very smart killer that could very well be ahead of them in every way. What will happen? Read this book to find out!
