Alana Terry is a USA Today bestselling author that writes Christian suspense which inspires the soul. Her books have awards from Readers’ Favorite, Women of Faith, Grace Awards, and Book Club Network, and more.

Her books are known for encouraging Christian readers, presenting the gospel without being preachy, and raising tough questions. Alana’s also been accused of making readers of her books stay up much too late.

She is a homeschooling mom of three kids that hates cooking, loves writing, and enjoys reading a good book nearly as much as she enjoys writing one.

Alana loves homeschooling so much that she also leads day camps and clubs for homeschoolers in her community. As an eclectic homeschooler at heart, she enjoys the freedom that comes with family-directed learning and plans interdisciplinary unit studies for homeschoolers of different ages.

Alana’s debut novel, called “The Beloved Daughter”, was released in the year 2013. Her work is from the suspense and inspirational genres.

“The Beloved Daughter” is the first novel in the “Whispers of Refuge” series and was released in the year 2013. In a tiny North Korean village, one young girl struggles just to survive. However it is her dad’s faith, and not the famine of North Hamyong Province, which threatens Chung-Cha’s well being the most.

Is her dad right to be this vocal of a believer? Or is he really a fool to bring danger down onto the head of his one and only daughter? Chung-Cha is just a twelve year old and is much too young to answer questions like this.

Yet she isn’t too young to be facing a life of forced labor and imprisonment. Her crime? Being a political traitor’s daughter. This novel follows her into one of the most notorious prison camps of the modern free world. Is she going to survive the terrors of Camp 22? If she does, is her faith going to stay intact?

“Slave Again” is the second novel in the “Whispers of Refuge” series and was released in the year 2014. She swapped her prison uniform for shackles of another kind.

After Mee-Kyong escaped from a North Korean prison camp, she gets hustled over the border and is sold into the Chinese underworld. She vows to survive, however sheer willpower and determination alone are not going to save her this time around. Could she be fated to stay a slave forever?

“Unplanned” is the first novel in the “Kennedy Stern” series and was released in the year 2015. When Kennedy Stern’s childhood pastor asks her to volunteer at his new pregnancy center, she makes some time from her loaded college schedule to promote the cause of the unborn.

After getting a call from somebody much too young to be pregnant to begin with, Kennedy can no longer hide blindly behind the pro-life platitudes which she grew up believing. She resolves to find this unknown girl however ends up entrenched in a mystery which gets more convoluted as it unfolds.

Before too long, she finds herself being a pawn in a lethal game of intrigue, at the mercy of people that consider a few innocent lives just a tiny ransom to pay in exchange for political and personal victory.

“Paralyzed” is the second novel in the “Kennedy Stern” series and was released in the year 2015. Kennedy has come back to campus after she survived getting kidnapped, however old scars can cut pretty deep. Horrifying dreams and vivid flashbacks paralyze her, which threaten to ruin her academic career and any opportunity she’s got at happiness or peace. This mental anguish, though, constitutes just a tiny fraction of her post-traumatic nightmare.

A partner in her kidnapping is still at large and isn’t going to stop until he has silenced her witness forever. Not only does his violent resolve put her life at risk, however the safety of anybody that attempts helping her. She has to engage in a lethal battle of the mind while she struggles to stay alive.

As Kennedy fights on two fronts: physical and psychological, the question is not whether she is going to come out of this war stronger in the end. The question is whether she’s going to come out of it at all.

“Policed” is the third novel in the “Kennedy Stern” series and was released in the year 2016. A rogue cop can do much more damage than just ruin a perfect night out.

Kennedy Stern and Reuben, her best friend, pull themselves away from their grueling studies so they can enjoy a night away from campus, however getting pulled over by a belligerent police officers is not in either one of their plans. When the cop altercation becomes violent, the media takes note of Reuben’s dark skin color and labels this case of police brutality a hate crime. Those that Kennedy trusts the most warn her to just not get involved, however she owes it to her friend to get justice regardless of the cost to herself.

Nothing stays a secret when the frenzied media and one embarrassed police department dive into Reuben’s and Kennedy’s backgrounds. Unfortunately, some truths get increasingly more painful the closer they get to the surface.

“Save Me Once” is a stand alone novel released in 2020. This is every woman’s worst nightmare. Except she is not dreaming this time. If only she had been more attentive, then none of this would’ve happened.

Now her daughter has gone missing, abducted by a guy with a criminal past. A guy that has been grooming her daughter for life on the streets. Is it any wonder that Margot is fearing the worst?

Margot, who is fueled by terror, love, and some unwavering determination, is going to stop at absolutely nothing to save her daughter. With help from a police detective that has a sketchy past and a series of problems all his own, she is determined to blow the case wide open.

   I feel so blessed to have found your books. I ordered 9 the first time, the Kennedy Stern set, & I’ve had them around 3 weeks & I’m about to start my 4th one. They are so good you don’t want to put them down. God bless your writing & I look forward to reading them all!!
