Jorn Lier Horst is a best-selling author from Norway.

He was born in 1970 in Bamble, Telemark. He is a former Senior Investigating Officer with the police force in Norway. He first made his debut as a crime writer with the publication of his crime novel Key Witness in 2004, which was based on a true story. He has done very well for himself and his crime books have been especially popular in Europe. He is now thought to be one of the top Nordic crime writers. In addition, his William Wisting series has done quite well and in Norway alone has sold over three million copies and counting.

Jorn has won the Glass Key Award for best Nordic Crime Novel in 2013 and the Martin Beck Award. in 2014. His first book to be published in English came out in 2011, Dregs. The next book that he wrote was titled Closed for Winter and was awarded the Booksellers’ Prize in Norway in 2012. It made the short list for the Riverton Prize/Golden Revolver as well. His book The Hunting Dogs did go on to win the Golden Revolver for best Norwegian crime. His book The Caveman received The Petrona Award in 2016 for Best Scandinavian Crime Novel of the Year in the United Kingdom.

He has also had his Wisting series turned into a television series called Wisting. It features actor Sven Nordin in the main role of character William Wisting. the first season was actually to date Norway’s most expensive television drama series to be produced. The second season was released not long after, and the third season aired in 2022.

Jorn also joined up with Thomas Enger, an internationally best-selling writer, to pen the Blix and Ramm fictional series featuring police investigator Alexander Blix and Emma Ramm, a news blogger. He has also collaborated with animator and illustrator Hans Jørgen Sandnes to make the Detective Agency No. 2 series for children, set in a small town named Riverton where the adventures of Tiril, Oliver, and the dog Ocho are followed as they look for clues, evidence, and criminals. Horst has also written the CLUE series, designed to be read by children from ages nine to twelve.

Thomas Enger was born November 21, 1973, in Oslo. He is a Norwegian author and a journalist. He currently lives in Oslo but spent his childhood years growing up in Jessheim. He resides with his partner and two children.

He worked for Nettavisen as a trained journalist for nine years. He also has studied sports foundation and history for different subjects and composes music. He debuted his book Skinndød in 2010. The book was his first stand-alone in a series that was comprised of five books focusing on Henning Juul, a journalist. The series has been sold in thirty countries and was nominated in 2012 for an eDunnit Award as part of CrimeFest 2012. He has also twice won uPrisen for his books The Evil Legacy and Killer Instinkt.
