Alexander Freed is a NY Times bestselling American writer, who is famous for writing science fiction, fantasy, speculative fiction, space opera, and graphic novels. He is particularly famous for writing the Star Wars books as well as many comic books, short stories, video games, and sci-fi stories. He was born in Philadelphia as Alexander Marsh Freed. Currently, he resides in Austin, Texas. Freed has worked for a number of professions, including game designer, editor, comic writer, and novelist. For the past 15 years, he has contributed to a wide range of works, including mass-market video game, small press anthologies, etc. Between 2006 and 2012, author Freed was one of the in-house staff writers at the BioWare video game developer.

During his time in the company, Freed served as a Lead Writer on different projects. After leaving BioWare, he started working on a freelance basis. Most of his freelance work includes the franchises of BioWare such as Star Wars : The Old Republic, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, etc. Freed has even contributed to the products of companies like Stoic, Obsidian Entertainment, WB Games, Kabam, Montreal, and several others. The original short stories penned by Freed have featured in several anthologies and Interzone magazine. Author Freed entered the world of novel writing with a Star Wars novel called Battlefront: Twilight Company. This novel was included in the BuzzFeed’s list of the best Sci-Fi Books of 2015. Freed refers to himself in the 3rd person.

The central characters mentioned in this book by Freed include Micha Evon, Nien Nunb, Lauren Mel Coelho, Everi Chalis, etc. This book’s story follows a team of soldiers who get caught in the middle of an ultimate galactic war between evil and good. The team of soldiers features some of the toughest warriors, ultimate survivors, and bravest soldiers. Initially, it is shown that the Galactic War rages across the vast regions of space and among the stars. The Mid Rim is a region where multiple worlds have their battlefields. Large groups of ruthless stormtroopers are waging close to the battlefields. They are bent of destroying the resistances wherever they arise in the galaxy and engage in brutal combats against the freedom fighters’ armada.

The Rebel Alliance’s frontline forces take the fight against the enemy in the alleys and streets of ravaged cities. They push them deep into the Imperial territory & grapple with the savage war realities on the ground that deal with flesh and blood. The charge of the fight is led by soldiers that include men, women, human, nonhuman, and other elements of the 61st Mobile Infantry. This infantry is known as the Twilight Company. The men of this company are war-weary, hard-bitten, and extremely loyal to each other. This renegade outfit’s members doggedly fight to survive where other individuals perish. Their most useful and powerful weapon against the deadly enemy is their defiance. As soon as the orders are given to the rebels to fall back in line and face the superior opposition firepower and numbers, they comply and become ready.

Later, an unexpected ally helps to change the strategic equation. This gives the hardest fighting warriors of the Alliance a much-required chance to change retreat into resurgence. The Twilight Company doesn’t worry about what orders were given to them once they see the enemy. They don’t even worry about the fact they are outnumbered and outgunned. They just keep loading, locking, and preparing for their boldest maneuver without bowing down. Another excellent book penned by Freed is known as ‘The Lost Suns’. He wrote this book in collaboration with the authors George Freeman, David Daza, Michael Atiyeh, and Mark McKenna. This novel was published in 2012 by the Dark Horse Comics. It features the primary characters in the roles of Theron Shan, Ngani Zho, and several others. Initially, Theron Shan is introduced as an elite spy of the Republic. He embarks on a mission to unravel the dark secrets of the galaxy. It is very important for Theron Shan to succeed in this mission as the dark secrets pose a threat to the peace treaty with the Sith territory. If he fails, the dark secrets will shatter the peace and thrust the galaxy into war.

Ngani Zho is introduced as an old Jedi and the former mentor of Theron Shan. He was believed to have been lost in the Sith region. But, he returns in a more peculiar form than he was before. When Theron Shan learns that Ngani Zho is the only one having the capability to guide him on the mission, he tries to approach him. Theron doesn’t know that Zho is now a troublesome thief and can cause problems in his assignment rather than helping him to succeed in it. As soon as Theron Shan comes in contact with Zho, he gets his hands full of trouble.
