Alexandra Ivy is from the Midwest, next door to Mark Twain’s boyhood stomping ground and likes things casual. She has been an enthusiastic reader since she could hold books in her hands and constantly dreamed to put her own dreams on paper. Alexandra Ivy is married with two teen boys who manage to maintain an interesting life. She really loves to travel; it doesn’t matter where she’s going as long as it does not include any cleaning or cooking. She also loves to spend time with her family who continue to be her greatest source of motivation. Alexandra Ivy is the author of thirty three novellas and books for Kensington Publishing. Her first regency “Lord Carton’s Courtship” was nominated as the best first regency by the Romantic Times and was also an award of excellence finalist. Alexandra Ivy has also been nominated for career achievement in regency romance by the Romantic Times. She grew up in one of the small town in Missouri, together with her customary parents. Her parents offered her unconditional support through her early phase of wanting to become a well-known actress on Broadway and then when she decided she was going to be an author. Alexandra Ivy followed her dream by getting a degree in theatre and performing for a number of years in summer-stock productions. After marrying her college sweetheart, she decided to put her career on hold while they started a family. After the arrival of her two sons, Chance and Alex, she found herself seeking a new inventive outlet & decided to turn her occasional scribbling into real effort to get published.
Alexandra Ivy is well known for her New York Times best selling contemporary mystical book series known as the Guardians of Eternity. In addition, she writes regency historical using the name Debbie Raleigh or Deborah. Her prolific writing has gained high approval in the romance genre putting Romantic Times magazine in the top nominations for the books- Embrace the Darkness and When Darkness Comes. Alexandra Ivy actually began writing from her love for theatres. She has always been a huge reader, but when she was younger she hoped to work on stage. She later took a playwriting class and realized that she preferred to creating her own characters rather than imitating someone else’s. She has been writing a play (that she would still love to finish), but her heart has always felt right to romance, so she swiftly turned her efforts to novels. Even though she had many inspirations, her parents were the ones who encouraged and inspired her most in her life. Never once did her parents make her feel that her dreams were ridiculous or out of reach. And of course, her husband has always encouraged her to keep going, even on her darkest days. For a usual writing day, she gets up early and exercises, otherwise she can find a lot of excuses not to do it. She then goes through her email and updates her social media pages. In addition, she does some promotion work and runs her errands. Then, she starts writing. If she’s in the middle of a book she can write until she goes to bed. Her family has learned that once she disappears into her office they won’t see her until the book’s finished.
Alexandra Ivy is not exactly certain when she fell in love with books. Possibly on her mother’s knee while she listened to her read Dr. Seuss to her. She does remember that she was hardly old enough to cross the streets by herself when she discovered the amusement of the local library. During her summer, she really liked spending time in the library surrounded by tons of Nancy Drew mysteries. Over the years she fell in love with Jane Austen, Victoria Holt, and Agatha Christie & J.R.R. She read poetry, plays, biographies, essays. In fact, she read anything she could get my hands on. She had an overnight success after her many writings. After many years of writing and painful rejections, she finally became prosperous. All the manuscripts that she thought were the next great American novel are now precisely where they belong. They did, however, assist her to learn her craft and gave her the opportunity to take pleasure in writing in a wide assortment of genres as she searched for her voice. This also explains why she started writing conventional regencies under Debbie Raleigh and then went to steamy historical under Deborah Raleigh before she transformed into a modern mystical writer with the name Alexandra Ivy. Now, her career has turned everything from erotica to passionate suspense.
Angel/Hiss is Alexandra Ivy’s latest release and is currently available for download. Dr. Angel Savary is devoted to his skills as a healer. In her other series- Guardians of Eternity, Alexandra Ivy draws her readers deeper into a world of the Immortal Rogues with three vampires being entrusted to protect the future of their people. To other vampires, humans are weak, tedious creatures. To Lucien Valin, who is also a vampire, they are substantially fascinating. As the one assigned to lookout for Jocelyn Kingly, Lucien is enjoying his task. But her fascinating goodness puts her in petrifying danger. Not only from the traitor who intends to claim her mystifying amulet, but from the aspiration Lucien is struggling to keep in check. Youthful obsession already cost Jocelyn her fine name.
