Alexey Kovtunov is a published American author.
He was born in April of 1992. Alexey had an average childhood, attending a regular school. After that he decided that he wanted to study medicine. He attended medical college and graduated, but having done that, he was not all that much in a rush to be part of the profession.
He found a job during the Sochi Olympics working as a driver in 2014 with the United States Olympic Committee. After that, he also found himself a job working as an industrial abseiler. After that was done, he decided to join an emergency aid team as a paramedic.
The job was interesting and it left its mark on his writing. Black humor is often one of the only things that can keep one’s spirits up and one’s sanity in place in medicine. He has had hobbies that have proved to be influential on his work as a writer, which extends to books, fishing, technologies, computer games, and his love for LitRPG.
As he began trying writing out, the pandemic hit. Emergency teams were going and working overtime, which led to Kovtunov being extremely busy with his work in the medical field. But as soon as the situation got better, he became even busier making up his own worlds and has not been able to leave it ever since.
Alexey Kovtunov has written a few series, many co-written with other authors. These include the Healer’s Way series with Oleg Sapphire, the Village series with Dmitry Dornichev, his Ghost in the System series (no co-author), and the Me and My Demons series with Oleg Sapphire.
Ghost in the System #1 is the first book in the series of the same name by Alexey Kovtunov. If you love a good science fiction story, this is a great and unique book to check out that will keep you entertained whether you’re commuting or reading at home.
The System has arrived. The majority of the planet’s population found that they had suddenly been transformed into zombies. The rest of them have just been able to take on new abilities. These are the types of abilities that allow them to save themselves, to hide, to run away from the zombies, and to do their best to try and survive.
It only takes a singular bite, and that bite almost always translates to death. The hero of the story was not doing anything special when the apocalypse decided to arrive. He was simply just standing in line. He had the good fortune to be stuck in the middle of a crowd when the zombies got busy attempting to bite him and take him out on the leg.
It appears that he has gotten even luckier because new abilities have been unlocked for him by those trials. He was one of the first that was selected to be able to choose his own character class. He had to attempt to do it quickly, and had to move before someone else got one of the best ones.
Even though the hero is shy, introverted, possibly antisocial, it’s been an easy choice. The Master of Shadows was already taken, so he didn’t even bother going for that. He then opted for Master of Darkness, but that was also taken.
Ghost class was still available, and it worked for him. It is a gold class, but the bonuses that one receives may be a little questionable. What will he do, and will he succeed in the end? Read this book from Alexey Kovtunov to find out!
Ghost in the System #2 is the second book in the series of the same name by Alexey Kovtunov. If you were interested in what happened in the first story, then check this book out as well and see what you think!
It’s always a nightmare when it comes to the world ending. However, when it’s involving the System, it’s not a total nightmare for all people everywhere. Not everyone in the world is ready to just fall into total despair and just accept that their destiny is to be eaten by the zombies. A lot of people are ready to fight back and they’re going to keep fighting in any way that they can.
Kasp is one of those people. The conclusion of the world wasn’t a nightmare for him, as he’s one of those people who ends up having his life rejuvenated by crisis. When the System and the zombies appeared, he found that he had even more meaning in his life and more adventures to go on than ever.
The hero was once antisocial and introverted and now he is engaging with people in real life more than he was doing before the end of the world. The System has also given him an artifact– a zombie head that keeps talking and doesn’t stop, not even for a second.
It may end up being the best gift ever for an introverted guy who previously thought that his only skill was thinking. Can Kasp thrive in this new system or is he about to find out that even the capable are going to be challenged? Read the second book in this series to find out!
