Alice Coldbreath
Alice Coldbreath grew up in a tiny village in England and enjoys daydreaming about medieval warlords and lively heroines. In every day life she’s devoted to her geriatric cat, watching cozy murder mysteries on TV, and her vegetable garden. She enjoys reading steamy romances, preferably with a heavy dash of humor.

Alice enjoys books and visiting stately homes. She hopes that you enjoy reading her literary offerings since they give her hours of pleasure to sit down and write. She is exhilarated and terrified that she’s finally taken the plunge into the world of e-publishing.

Alice’s books promise you: no cheating by the central characters within their pages, a guaranteed happily ever after for the heroine and hero, and to be stand alone romance which never end on a cliffhanger or require you buy a another book to finish off the central story.

“Love Potion for the Alpha” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2014. Jorah Mallonn-Garth, a medieval warrior and Alpha of the Varkash wolf pack is seeking a human bride that will do his bidding. Lady Isolde Merrell is pretty yet altogether too plump get noticed whenever her beautiful little sister is around.

She douses herself, in desperation, with a lust potion to snare the attentions of a returning Jorah Mallon-Garth who’s just finished 3 years of soldiering for the Crown. All of a sudden she finds she’s wedded and bedded by the Alpha male of the Varkash pack and is bound for the Winterlands.

Jorah is tired of battle and he vows to find a biddable human wife to take back home with him. Once they arrive he’s determined to impose order on this troublesome wolf-pack. Isolde’s curvaceous charms have him panting with need right from the start. Her lush and warm body promises him things that he never has dreamed of possessing, making her a true mate of his heart.

However his new bride proves to have some hidden mettle while challenging him on his long held beliefs and quickly his pack realizes that she’s truly their Alpha’s mate. Even if he still needs some convincing that she is equal to this task.

Do be warned that this is a full length, hot BBW romance that features a werewolf Alpha with steamy situations and some strong explicit language. This is probably not the novel for you if you prefer things to be on the tamer side.

“Her Baseborn Bridegroom” is the first novel in the “Vawdrey Brothers” series and was released in 2016. Lady Linnet Cadwallader has been raised as a helpless invalid in her own castle. Raised to believe that she’d ‘never make old bones’ and so she lives a lonely and quiet existence, hiding away her red hair and excessive freckles from a world that believes she is hideously misshapen and ugly.

Until this one day her uncle arranges this marriage of convenience for her, a marriage in name only with a young puppet of a groom. However Sir Roland never even shows up. In his place is Mason Vawdrey, his baseborn brother. And forceful, dark Mason is nobody’s puppet.

Things will soon get interesting at Cadwallader Castle. And Linnet is going to soon learn that possibly a golden leopardess doesn’t need to change her glorious spots.

“Wed by Proxy” is the first novel in the “Brides of Karadok” series and was released in 2019. Mathilde Martindale (thrice wedded yet never bedded) has long been living in the shadow of her indomitable mom, and meekly did what she was told. Until this one day that she decides to become the mistress of her own destiny and leave the royal court behind in order to find a path of her own.

Lord Martindale, having been married by proxy, has never even met his wife of three years. Wed as part of this peace treaty, he bitterly resents the mercenary wife that cares just for prestige and wealth. Then he meets her.

This is set in a medieval style landscape in the fictional kingdom of Karadok. Don’t buy if you’re offended by sex scenes and/or strong language.

“A Bride for the Prizefighter” is the first novel in the “Victorian Prizefighters” series and was released in 2020. Mina’s well-ordered life gets tossed into disarray once her dad drops a bombshell while on his deathbed: she’s got a brother that she never knew about. But not only that, he’s on his way to rescue her from the collapse of their school under a mountain of debts.

One wild journey across the country later, she finds she’s being thrown at the feet of the brutish William Nye, a prize fighter that owns a disreputable inn, called The Merry Harlot. Respectable Mina is appalled to find she is obliged to marry such a surly stranger.

Forced to draw upon reserves of strength that she never even knew she possessed, she uncovers some perilous secrets and she bravely carves a new life at this man’s side, while proving herself to be a more than worthy partner for this prize fighter.

“A Foolish Flirtation” is the first novel in the “Victorian Reversal of Fortune” series and was released in 2024. When Emmeline Ballentin was 18, her dad splashed out on a London season in order to introduce his daughter to polite society. Unfortunately for Emmeline, polite society wasn’t all that receptive to a city trader’s daughter. She just caught a single gentleman’s fancy, the gorgeous yet dishonorable Jeremy Vance who made her head spin while he singled her out for attention at the assemblies and balls.

Her worldly chaperone warned her that he was making a May game of her, however Emmeline hadn’t listened to Mrs. Laverdale’s warnings, or any of the titters of her fellow debutantes. Consequently, her dreams were just dashed into pieces, when at the close of the season, as Jeremy announced his engagement to somebody else.

A decade later, and their paths cross again in Bath. Emmeline’s wiser and older, and a great deal poorer, and Jeremy is now divorced. There is no chance of him making a fool of her again with his shocking offer of marriage. Is there?
