Amanda Richardson
Author Amanda Richardson grew up in different parts of the Southern United States. But she still considers North Carolina to be her home state. She is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina, where she majored in creative writing.
After a failed attempt to move to New York City in her post college years, she and her then boyfriend (now her husband), Chris, landed in Las Vegas. That’s where she managed communications for a Strip hotel-casino during the day, and writing “her little stories” by night.
She writes love stories with mysterious and brooding heroes and badass heroines.
When she isn’t busy writing contemporary, and twisted, dark romance at her chaotic dining room table, she enjoys her coffee (just a bit too much) and collecting house plants as if they were going out of style.
“In Search of Yesterday” is the first novel in the “In Search of Yesterday” series and was released in the year 2015. Cat Edwards isn’t even supposed to be working tonight. All that she really wants to do is close the bar up and go back home. So once Declan Dwyer walks into the bar just minutes before she is about to close, she cannot help but feel irritated. Until, that is, she meets his gaze and gets immediately enraptured by his soulful, sad demeanor.
There aren’t enough free drinks in the world that will keep this gorgeous guy around for as long as she can. While she gets to know him better, she begins uncovering a troubled guy. A guy with secrets he desperately wants to reveal to her.
“The Island” is the second stand alone novel and was released in the year 2016. Nina Cosway never asked to witness a murder on the beach. She never asked for those icy, blue eyes to find hers, making her panic and stumble away. And she definitely never asked to get kidnapped by the killer. However the universe is rather funny that way, and before she knows what’s happening, she is being held prisoner on some deserted island.
Attempting to survive and plan out her escape, she is quite unnerved by the way that he looks at her, the guy that took her. The guy that ruined her life. Matter of fact, there is something quite familiar about him she cannot exactly put a finger on. Alone on this island together, she quickly realizes that he was not attempting to kill her at all, but actually trying to save her life. Now she must save his.
On Isla Culebrita, nothing is exactly like it appears. Sometimes, people will return from the dead. Despite everything that Nine formerly believed.
“Between the Pages” is the first novel in the “Love at Work” series and was released in the year 2021. You never truly know a guy until he asks you to ghostwrite his whole life story for him.
Finley Matthews has quit writing for others as a ghostwriter. She is tired of seeing her work with somebody else’s name on the cover. Finley just wants to make a name for herself, even if that means beginning from scratch and kissing her steady paycheck bye bye.
When Emerson Whittaker, the mysterious and famed novelist, convinces Finley to take a final ghostwriting job in return for some good money, she does not even have to think twice. This might just be her gateway into the daunting literary world.
Finley finds herself being captivated by the enigmatic Emerson. And there is just something about Finley which Emerson is unable to ignore, either. They quickly find themselves digging deeper into one another’s lives, and she soon learns things; shocking and hidden things which she is unable to just brush aside.
Only problem is, Finley’s falling in love with Emerson. And she is not that sure that she can just overlook the provocative secret that he has been hiding for the past eight years.
“A Love Like That” is the second novel in the “Love at Work” series and was released in the year 2021. She is just the nanny, she was never supposed to fall for him. Evianna Halle can do a ton of things: write essays on the theme of Wuthering Heights, compare the love stories found in Jane Austen novels, and, surprisingly, she remembers precisely what she was wearing when she met Dan, her boyfriend. What she can’t understand is just how Dan fell out of love with her, and right into bed with her best friend.
Nicholas Wilder cannot do a bunch of things: he cannot move on after his wife had her accident, or even fathom how he’s going to care for his daughter as he works full time as a doctor. What he is able to do is put out an ad for some live-in nanny. It’s an ad that Evi, now newly single, answers enthusiastically.
Neither one of them expect the friendship which forms, or the silly games and emails which somehow become inappropriate, and then just downright unprofessional. Can Nick and Evi ignore the feelings they’re having, or is it all going to come crashing down all around them?
“Tracing the Stars” is the third novel in the “Love at Work” series and was released in the year 2021. For Leonardo Kennedy and Emilia Harper, life’s always been defined by facts, science, and data. Their lives are disciplined ones. Controlled. Just their collection of accomplishments. Since they were childhood pen pals, they thrived on competition, and as adults, it appears that nothing has changed.
When she gets a position in Antarctica alongside Leo, who was her sounding board for everything science related until they grew apart and severed all communication. She learns that Leo, the brainy teen, morphed into this workaholic, egotistical prick.
When their incessant bickering starts giving way to solicitous flirting, they learn that maybe mixed in with all the discipline is disorder and chaos. Feelings which cannot be explained or computed. Only trouble is, interdepartmental relationships are forbidden at the South Pole station. Following the rules is (something that they are each inherently prone to doing) much easier said than done.
