Amelia Ireland is an accomplished published author.

When she was younger she wanted to be an actress and did not have any plans of working in writing or being a finance lawyer when she grew up, but when she got older she ended up leaving that behind due to qualifying as a finance lawyer to work in Canary Wharf. These days, she uses writing as a way to be creative and escape at the same time. She is not currently pursuing being an actress.

Amelia’s debut novel first came out for readers to enjoy in 2025 and was titled The Seven O’Clock Club. It was penned in the memory of her mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and died five years later. Going through that type of loss when she was still young and speaking to others who had gone through something similar inspired Amelia to write her own story about grief and its nature, in the type of way that is able to remind people of how important hope, love, and laughter can truly be. Upon being published it became an immediate Sunday Times bestseller.

Today in addition to being an author Amelia is also the mother to her two children. She resides in the city of London and loves to make her way to far off places. She also enjoys rock climbing, kite surfing, and riding horses.

When four total strangers come together for the purposes of taking part in a unique experimental treatment that is intended to heal broken hearts, they don’t know whether the treatment will be successful or not. They do know that they have all been through tough times and need this in some capacity, or they wouldn’t have volunteered.

They all come to a regular building that doesn’t seem like anything special and the first thing that the group notices about each other is that they don’t really have that much in common. They are all different when they meet for the first time, but they share one thing that is the same– they’re skeptical of the so called new type of grief therapy that they are going to take part in.

The therapy is not the only thing that the group is doubting, as the group leader sparks a wariness in them. But once things get started, they start to move past it. They end up finding out that as the weeks begin passing they are coming back again and again to work on their healing and do their best to try and take the pain that they have and meet it where it’s at.

For whatever reasons, the treatment appears to be working the way it was intended to. The four people include a lawyer who is quick of wit but doesn’t want to let her walls down and be vulnerable. There is also a musician who is doing well in his career but is also struggling with a drinking problem and is close to losing everything that he has.

Joining them is a young woman who is very fragile who is just looking for a place where she can fit in and also an interior designer who has a perfect life from the outside looking in but has been struggling to keep it from crumbling all down on her.

They may be a strange group to have come together but they start to open up the more time that they spend together. As they contend with a future that is going better but also with change, friendship, romance and more, can they truly benefit from this experimental treatment or will they find that despite their positive experiences they are still guinea pigs for the experiment at the end of the day with side effects that they did not count on?

When a revelation comes to light that shows the true reason why these individuals were selected for this group, it ends up shaking the foundation of what they thought that they knew to be true. It all started as a journey to try and heal from their grief. Instead, the group finds much more than they bargained for with strength, new friends, and even love.

Can they find the boldness within to go after happiness that is waiting just outside of their doorstep? Could joining this group be the best thing that ever happened to them– or the worst? Find out by getting your hands on a copy of Amelia Ireland’s The Seven O’Clock Club and following along with every word!
