At the beginning of the plot of the book, it is shown that Lenkarda is the main colony of the Krinar race on Earth. Mia Stalis is shown as being caught by Korum and living at his mercy in Lenkarda. She seems pretty much desperate to find a way to get out and run away from Korum’s reach, but cannot think of any way to do so. Mia even does not seem to have any knowledge about to operate the basic technology of the Krinar race. Therefore, the only choice left with her is to trust Korum, who lover whom she betrayed and the one responsible for bringing her to Lenkarda. When Korum promises to take her to her home, Mia becomes hopeful that she will be able to return to her normal life once again. But, she has to wait and see whether he will complete his promise or whether she will be spending her whole life as his prisoner. Even Korum finds it difficult to make Mia a part of the Krinar race. In the end, Mia suspects loves her, or he only wants to possess her body.
