Annette Blair
Bestselling author Annette Blair, born in the year 1970, began her career writing Regency, Amish, and Victorian Historicals but hit her stride (as well as Bestseller lists) with contemporary comedy.

She left her job as the Development Director and Journalism Advisor at Mount St. Charles in Woonsocket, Rhode Island so that she could become a full-time writer.

Her romantic comedies owe their beginnings to a reluctant trip to Salem, Massachusetts and a root canal. Even though she once said she would never pen a contemporary, she stumbled into the serendipitous role of Accidental Witch Writer during this trip. Funny how she managed to eat her own words even with her jaw aching.

Annette’s debut novel, called “Jacob’s Return”, was released in the year 1999. Her work is from the cozy mystery, paranormal romance, and historical romance genres.

“Jacob’s Return” is the first stand alone novel and was released in the year 1999. Jacob Sauder abandons his Amish heritage when Rachel Zook, the woman that he loves, agrees to marry Simon, his brother. Even though he adapts to the “English” ways, even fathering twins, he stays an outsider. When the mom of his twins dies, he knows the one way to raise his kids, the Amish way.

He brings them back home to the community he vowed he would leave behind forever. For his kids, he can do anything, even be strong when he sees his love, Rachel, married to his brother. Simon lied years ago in order to ensure a future with Rachel Zook as his wife. Now Rachel’s a disappointment to him, since she is barren.

Unaware of the lie that Simon told to drive Jacob away, Rachel believes that Jacob abandoned her when he departed from the Amish community. Stunned when he comes back with two-year-old twins, she knows that there can’t be anything between them, for marriage is a lifelong commitment among the Amish. But the twins do need a mom and Rachel loves kids. While caring for his kids like they were her own, her feelings for deepen right into a love that can’t be.

“Lady Faith” is the second stand alone novel and was released in the year 1999. Faith Wickham stepped right into a despairing and dark place when she entered into Killashandra Hall to take care of Justin Devereux, Duke of Ainsley, who was gravely wounded. The dark-haired and handsome man lay unconscious, and quickly

Faith wondered if somebody at Killashandra conspired to speed up his death. Her duty was to heal him, however when he called out to her from his tormented dreams, she answered with her heart.

From the depths of his drugged sleep, Justin felt like an angel had come to help him. For he believed that all was lost. His daughter was killed, his wife betrayed him, and his brother plotted to take his title. Now a beautiful young lady was battling to bring him back into the land of the living, where danger lurked, one shocking revelation waited, and desire could possibly save or damn both of them.

“An Undeniable Rogue” is the first novel in the “Rogue’s Club” series and was released in the year 2002. Sabrina Whitcomb, penniless and widowed, is not looking for a romance. What she really needs is a husband, and she realizes well enough that matrimony and romance are not always compatible. While she provides for her twins and the kid she now carries is paramount, marrying a virtual stranger, even one as wealthy as Gideon St. Goddard, the Duke of Stanthorpe, isn’t a light matter.

Sabrina knows the friend that arranged this marriage wouldn’t promise her to one true scoundrel, however one look at her future husband leaves her convinced that he’s a shameless rogue. One stunningly handsome and desirable at that. Why did he agree to marry her, anyway? When Gideon gives that seductive and wicked grin, the reason doesn’t really matter, but the chance that he’s going to steal her heart becomes much too real.

“A Veiled Deception” is the first novel in the “Vintage Magic Mystery” series and was released in the year 2012. The right dress can be magic, but the wrong one: murder.

Madeira “Maddie” Cutler, a New York fashion designer and vintage clothing lover, returns home to help plan her sister’s wedding. During the engagement party, the ‘Jezebel’ attempting to steal Sherry’s fiance is discovered strangled with a bridal veil, leaving Sherry as the prime suspect. Maddie, along with looking for the real killer, Maddie alters Sherry’s vintage wedding dress, worn by generations of the groom’s family, and something strange happens. The gown starts giving Maddie visions, clues to the past, and possibly murder?

Maddie learns that she is psychometric, a psychic gift that she inherited from her dead mom, who herself was a broom-carrying witch, turns out. What other gifts could she have inherited? Maddie, while not sleuthing, acquires the old Underhill Funeral Chapel Carriage House, including Dante Underhill, who is a chatty debonair ghost in a top hat and tux, who cannot leave the building. Look out Mystic, Connecticut! Here comes Vintage Magic, one shop for vintage couture and designer originals, featuring one hunk of a ghost, a psychic sleuth, with just a sprinkle of magic tossed in for “charm”.

“Sea Scoundrel” is the first novel in the “Knave of Hearts” series and was released in the year 2012. Lady Patience crossed an ocean to marry, however her intended ended up dying before she showed up. Stranded and penniless, she found just one way to get back home: charge four hapless American Colonials to find them titled husbands back in London. At the ship, she realized that their moms expected each one to wed the Marquess of Andover, but just how tough could it really be to try and get an introduction?

At the same time, Captain Grant St. Benedict was far from friendly. Why? Because her girls set the rigging on fire. Grant hadn’t ever met a woman that was more irritating, or more desirable, than the Lady Patience Kendall. However dangerous his interest, he could not help resist teaching this delicious distraction that independence was nothing compared to passion.
