Annie Rains, USA Today’s Bestselling Author, is a modern-day romance writer who loves writing small city love stories that are set in the fictional towns on coastal parts of North Carolina. Having been raised up in one of the largest military communities in America, Annie Rains often features the heroes who are fighting for their beloved countries, while at the same time fighting for a good place that they can call their home and a great woman to love and cherish. When Annie Rains isn’t writing, she is pending some time with the husband and her 3 children, or even reading a novel by her favorite author. Annie is not military herself even though she grew up in a military town. She currently works (day job) on a military base where she does research as much as possible for her books.

Welcome to Forever

If you love Susan Mallery, Jill Shalvis or Kristan Higgins, then you would not want to miss the Hero’s Welcome military romance series by Annie. Welcome to Forever novel introduces a small coastal town where America’s best as well as brightest individuals risk everything just for love.

In Seaside, Northern parts of Carolina, there are 2 kinds of people: Marines and the kids of Marines. Then there is Kat Chandler. Recently hired to serve as the principal of Seaside Elementary, Kat Chandler makes it her own mission to turn this Elementary school into a place of calm and peace. That is not going to be quite easy with the hard-liner parents such as Micah Peterson storming in, who tells her how to go about with her job—and then kisses her with his gorgeous lips before turning her brain to mush.

Micah Peterson is one of the Marines who turns out to be happens to be a single father to a son with special needs. Kat Chandler is the principal at the school where Ben, Micah’s son attends. The 2 meet the morning of the first day at school. Sparks then fly between the two of them, but everyone knows that romance is not in the cards for them. He is busy with Ben and Kat Chandler isn’t ready to give out her heart to another person after losing her fiancé 2 years ago. As the 2 spend more time together, it gets quite harder for them to resist the attraction to each other. There’s some drama from some outside forces but it does not become the central focus of this novel. The book’s central focus is pure trust, taking chances in life and learning how to love again.

Micah is sexy. However, his real beauty lies in his soul. He is a fantastic dad and all those factors combine to make him a perfect hero. On the other hand, Kat was beautiful as well. However, just like Micah, beauty wasn’t her most prominent feature. Kat had a soul just like Micah that made them a perfect match for one another and Micah’s son completed them.

As a single dad and Marine Sergeant, Micah has just 2 priorities in life: doing his Marine job better than any other person and getting the very best for his lovely son, Ben. However, when he meets the new principal, a totally different yearning shifts into focus. Micah wants her but he’s also moved by the connection that Kat forges with her own students. After learning that Kat refuses to date Marines, he sets 2 more objectives: to convince Kat to give him another chance and then holding on her fore. The Novel is a touching and beautiful story of loss and love that will certainly grasp you by your heart and then hold on even long after you have finished reading.

This is well-written debut novel that has people fighting back their tears and also rooting for the couples from the very first page. Heartwarming, emotional and completely engaging, this is a highly recommend book to those who are searching for a contemporary romance that was realistic rather than being angst-filled, with several characters who are likable and thus it deserves a happy ending.

Welcome to Home, Cowboy

With the thriving military’s base, Seaside is teeming with several heroes of all kind. However, as Hero’s Welcome series by Annie Rains continues, the novel takes out a cowboy so as to rescue the newest resident in the town from heartache.

After a bitter breakup leaves Julie totally devastated, she decided to come to Seaside to seek for a fresh beginning. A talented and compassionate yoga teacher, Julie has already developed a program that will help alleviate effects of PTSD. However, getting a group of uncooperative Marines into a downward facing dog may just be impossible. As a result, Julie is totally shocked when her student dives in headfirst and nearly tempts Julie to actually take her walls down using his electrifying touch and easy smile.

Ever since Lawson Phillips, Texas cowboy turned Marine’s pilot lost one crew member in an accident, Philips hasn’t been capable of flying again. When his psychologist instructs him to attend yoga classes, of all things, Lawson is outraged—until when he finds out that Julie’s the instructor. She is beautiful, graceful and fully guarded whenever it comes to Lawson’s advances. Nevertheless, he is determined to know what actually makes her tick. This is because underneath Chandler’s hard shell lies a woman that Lawson Phillips knows he can fall for—and he is ready for a ride up to end.

In case you enjoy cowboy heroes and military heroes then Lawson is both. The story contains the perfect amount of suspense, humor and zing that will keep you engaged as you turn the pages. Even though it’s just the second novel in the series, it is still a stand-alone.

Annie didn’t disappoint with the new story and it pulls readers right into this book, making one to fall in love with her characters once more. Furthermore, the emotional story and small town setting just adds more fun to the novel. Welcome Home, the Cowboy is entertaining and sweet, with bits of playfulness. Its characters are loveable and its storyline is capable of fully capturing your attention.

This is a great story that will make you smile, shed a tear, laugh out loud and sigh deeply, while telling tales of loss and love. In summary, this is a great book for any person. Not only is it a heartwarming, great and spicy romance book, but it is also a book full of hope, a second chance in life, finding strength within oneself and ultimately making life better.
